“Royal Hen on Balboa Island is a delightful spot with great menu options for date night, family dinner, or just a quiet bite solo. During this visit, we ordered the zucchini blossoms, Caesar salad, short rib fettuccine, and the RH burger for the table. Everything was absolutely delicious!”

“Lovely dinner, chicken Pot Pie was exceptional with flaky crust and chicken and veggies in a tasty cream sauce. Jumbo scallops and prawns were perfectly cooked with a very flavorful curry risotto. Nice selextion of wines by the glass at reasonable prices.”

“A wonderful restaurant! We stopped by on a whim—without a reservation—and found it to be incredibly cozy and clean, with an intriguing design and a distinctly European atmosphere. The dishes were superb—both in presentation and taste. We ordered the Caesar salad and the artichokes. The artichokes were magnificent: wrapped in a crispy crepe, they were absolutely magical! I will definitely be back!”
