The Betz Room

“The Betz Room was fantastic. We had a large birthday party celebration here last night. Everything was perfect. We had two amazing servers, they split our table into two and assisted us with orders and drinks. I ordered the burrata, the cheese board and also the bread board. Excellent timing and the portions and wide selection were a great start to the dinner. For my entree I ordered the Tomahawk steak for 2, with a side of potatoes and asparagus. Cooked to medium with an excellent presentation. This steak was arguably the greatest steak I have ever had. It was worth every penny. Then came dessert where I got the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. Fantastic presentation and even better tasting. I will be back again soon, thank you to all the staff and members of the Betz Room, I truly had an amazing experience and it was a great birthday party celebration for my friends.”

“I almost don’t want to write this review at the risk of this place getting too popular to get a reservation. The Betz Room is simply The Best food in Ocean City, NJ. Nothing on the island compares. Not even close. You have to join as a member for a modest $25 per person. For those who do not know, Ocean City is a dry town and you cannot consume alcohol anywhere except a for few private clubs. Once you become a member of The Betz Room, you can BYOB and enjoy a fabulous menu. The foie gras app was seared to perfection, served on a date cake with ultra-thin rhubarb. Outstanding… as was the grilled asparagus with a perfectly poached egg, prosciutto and shaved parmigiana reggiano. Our mains were phenomenal. The agnolotti were al dente with a delicate ricotta filling. The seared scallops were the true gem though, perfectly caramelized one side and just a touch to the pan on the other left them perfectly cooked. They were on top of a raviolo with a touch of trout roe. Honestly, I could have closed my eyes and thought I was in a Michelin-rated restaurant (I just ate at one two days ago - so I know!!). The goat cheese cheesecake was sooo subtle and no, not goaty at all. Really, really great. So, if you are in OC and like food, you have to join The Betz Room. It is in a league of its own.”
