TJ'S Highland Steakhouse is a Steakhouse restaurant in the Oshkosh neighborhood of Oshkosh.
“We went here for dinner before a PAC event. We loved it!! The crab cakes were out of this world. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was made to perfection. We also ordered 2 shareables mashed potatoes with lobster cream corn—we thought we died and went to heaven. Clearly an amazing culinary experience. We also thoroughly enjoyed our waitstaff…Eden and Hunter treated us like family!! Plus the manager stopped at our table to make sure everything went well!! We will be back and we tell all of our friends how amazing TJ Higlands Steakhouse is.”
“We’ve visited TJ’s Steakhouse several times now, and it never fails to impress. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between high-end elegance and a welcoming country club feel—ideal for a special occasion or a romantic date night. The Service: Truly top-tier. The staff is attentive, kind, and offers excellent menu recommendations. Pro tip: Definitely book a reservation in advance, as they stay busy for a reason. The Drinks & Food: Their beverage program is impressive, featuring a wide variety of wines and some very creative cocktails. As for dinner, choosing is the hardest part! We started with the unique steakhouse roll and their complimentary bread, both of which were delicious. For entrees, the NY Strip, Beef Wellington, and Salmon were all phenomenal—rich, deep flavors in every bite. Don't skip the sides; the three-cheese potatoes and lobster sweet corn were the perfect pairings. We rounded out the night with a Grasshopper dessert drink and the cookie skillet. While you’re paying for the premium quality, it is worth every penny. We’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!”
“The beef quality here is stellar. My dry aged medium rare Delmonico needed no seasoning because it had a perfect sear and delicious partially rendered fat. Pair it with the Louis Martini Cabernet and finish with a perfect butter cake and a Brandy Alexander. Service was attentive and pleasant. Not pictured: stone crab claws and bone marrow (both awesome as well).”
“I got one of the top 10 filets I have ever had here- and I eat at a lot of great places. Maybe it was just the combo of a perfect cut and proper preparation, but it was truly excellent in texture and flavor. We also got the bacon slabs which were notable, and a number of sides. I got the crème brûlée for dessert but it was overshadowed by the carrot cake that others got, which was top notch. From a budgeting standpoint we had a great meal, plenty of food and some drinks and paid about $100 per person total. In my case, I’d say it was worth it. A hidden gem.”
“The atmosphere and service were great, but $160 for 2 people without beverages is on the high side. I had the dry aged New York strip, which didn't have a ton of flavor for being aged for 40 days. The lobster creamed corn was fantastic, but I am not going out to dinner for a side. The main course should be the highlight. My wife really liked the beef wellington, so great job there. Overall, I would say there are better places to eat in Oshkosh, especially for the value and of you venture a bit further you will find better food for the same amount of money.”
