“We were looking to get out of the city for a bit and found The Tasty Table, a really cute spot in Ossining. It has a cozy, small-town feel and a creative farm-to-table menu. We’ve gone back quite a few times since our first visit and have even brought friends and family along. It’s become a bit of a guilty pleasure for us whenever we’re heading out of the city. We also like to stop here before making a Costco run because you should never go to Costco on an empty stomach. They offer great classic breakfast and brunch options, along with some standout seasonal specialties. I tried the strawberry shortcake French toast and it was really good, honestly didn’t even need syrup. They also have matcha waffles, which I’m planning to go back for before they rotate off the menu. They offer fun extras like drink flights and cinnamon roll flights, which add a unique touch. The service was warm and attentive, and you can tell they care about the experience. It’s a smaller space, so there may be a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it for the food and the welcoming, hometown vibe.”

From the moment we sat down, everything felt worth the wait. The specials were creative and so tempting, it was hard to choose. “We had a really great brunch experience at The Tasty Table. The place was busy the entire time, which is always a good sign, and even though we ended up seated at the very end of the bar, everything still felt welcoming and well-paced. One thing we appreciated right away was the hospitality. We were greeted when we came in by who we later found out was the owner, and we always love seeing ownership present, in house, and actively working alongside the staff. That kind of hands-on presence always says a lot about a place. We ordered a mix of items off both the specials menu and the brunch menu. Off the specials, we had the breakfast appetizer sliders, which included a classic bacon, egg and cheese, a chorizo omelette slider, and one with prosciutto and a creamy ricotta/burrata-style finish. We also had the blueberry lemon ricotta stuffed French toast, which was rich, sweet, and really well done without feeling too heavy. For drinks, we tried the iced lavender London fog, the iced cannoli foam latte, and the iced coffee flight, which was a fun touch and something a little different for brunch. Our favorite dish of the visit was easily the Creole Shrimp Benedict. It came with Creole seasoned jumbo shrimp, poached eggs, hollandaise, and housemade cornbread, and everything worked really well together. Super flavorful, comforting, and probably the standout plate for us. Overall, really good food, a lively atmosphere, and a place that clearly has people coming back for a reason. We’d definitely return.”

“Maybe I’m just not from here and I live in a city. But I had heard good reviews about this place and my friend had been here a lot and loved it. But first of all the food is alright. Nothing special, average. Second, the service or at least the server I had, was extremely rude. He’s a younger kid who wears glasses. Terrible customer service definetly should not be a sever at the restaurant. My family and I won’t be returning due to the customer service. This is also a flat bread pizza and everyone loves but it showed up at my table very soggy and wet. Wow also reading how the owner is responding to these reviews is very concerning? Are you a business owner or a mad teenage girl?”
