El TECHO ONLY ACCEPTS RESERVATIONS FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH El Techo is the Best of Philly winning lively rooftop taqueria located on the 11th floor of Condesa in Rittenhouse Square. Its food is focused on being shared with friends as well as numerous tacos made from Mexican heirloom corn tortillas traditionally made in house from volcanic-stone ground masa. The beverage program is centered on margaritas plus fun cocktails with agave spirits as well as a curated selection of tequilas and mezcals, Mexican beer, and natural wine.
“Such amazing & friendly bartenders with the cutest rooftop hangout area!!! It can be a bit of a wait to get on the rooftop, but the bar/lounge area on the bottom floor is still nice. Such amazing vibes and I can’t wait to come back!”
“Absolutely stunning atmosphere. Food was great. Drinks were good. Vibes were nice rooftop view. Just took it over the top 10 out of 10. Absolutely love this place and will be going back.”
“El Techo is such a cool spot in center city to hang. It’s popular for post work gatherings and date nights. During nice weather the roof (“el techo”) and the windows are opened and the views are incredible. During cold weather with the roof closed the view is a bit more limited but still nice. They can make a wide variety of cocktails. Since it’s Mexican themed they seem to specialize in tequila products. The food is good, but you can find better value elsewhere. $6 just for one individual taco, $16 for chips and guac is not really worth it. Overall come for the fun vibes, great drinks, and beautiful views. Avoid getting food here unless you don’t mind racking up an expensive bill.”
“Beautiful rooftop views and ambience. Will need ID/21+ and a 30 minute wait Friday night to be sent upstairs but had a nice sitting area downstairs. The tacos were delicious, surprisingly the veggie one was very good, I think it was cauliflower but flavored even better than the chicken.”
“Mellow! We enjoyed brunch on a Sunday. Hotel guests have to go all the way down to the reception to request access back to the roof top. A little inconvenient. Host and servers were incredibly polite and pleasant although service too a while. Food was good. Full of flavors and presentable. The roof top bar/restaurant is beautiful and has a bit of a view. Makes for a good date night or brunch! Great experience overall, except for the service being slower than we are used to. Thank you!”
