“I’ve been keeping this place as my best kept secret in Center City, but it’s time to come clean. Mission Taqueria is one of the best restaurants in the city, and you’d never know it was there if you weren’t looking for it. Hidden behind a small “TACOS” sign is an upstairs safe haven from the fast paced city life. Great food, amazing atmosphere, and my favorite happy hour menu (4pm-6pm) in the whole city! I can always garuntee a pleasant and comfortable dining experience from the moment I walk upstairs. This restaurant is bright, welcoming, and everyone is so kind! These are not descriptions you’ll commonly find in a city like Philly (no shade, this is my favorite city in the country!) I found this place 2 years ago on accident and now I’ve brought every person I know to eat and drink here. Mission Taqueria is my shining gold north star of restaurants in center city. I’ve now moved out of the city but Mission is a place that brings me back atleast once a month. I still haven’t found any place that has as flavorful food + refreshing margaritas that are anywhere as good as Mission. If you have the chance to dine here I legit couldn’t reccomend any other restaurant more than Mission Taqueria!! ((Oh yeah, and you gotta try the Beef Barbacoa and Carnitas tacos cuz oh my GOD I can’t live without them..))”

“This place is the best EVER! Daniel and his team are amazing people and produce some of the best, high quality food around. What really attracts us are their happy hour prices - they can’t be beat in this economy! We come into Philly from Jersey just to eat at here. Both my husband and I are gluten free which is a plus when dining here since the entire menu is GF!! (Minus the lunch burrito). We would recommend to anyone! YUM!”

“Mission Taqueria in downtown Philly is a vibrant spot on the second floor with a great atmosphere. The service is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. The guacamole is excellent, fresh with a nice kick from the jalapeños. I tried both the carnitas and beef barbacoa tacos, and they were outstanding. Definitely worth a visit!”

“Absolutely delicious Mexican food & margs! Everything was so yummy, we got the barbacoa tacos & the fried mahi tacos, chips&guac, esquites, and fried artichokes. The margs are super strong and soooo good. They also have good non-alc options! The service was good, our sides took quite a while longer than our tacos to come out which wasn’t ideal but very minor. The restaurant itself was quite loud so maybe better for hang outs or younger ppl. Will def be back tho!”

“Went in on a Saturday night but it was too busy to even eat at bar so I ordered takeout which was good but I asked for shrimp in my salad and they did not add that. The crowd seemed like a 20-30 something party scene.”
