THE SIDECAR BAR & GRILLE • A PLACE FOR NEIGHBORS We’ve been hanging out in Graduate Hospital on the corner of 22nd and Christian for more than 10 years. We offer dozens of craft beers, plenty of good food and a friendly atmosphere that warms the soul. Come on in, grab a seat and start a conversation – we’re all neighbors here. See you at Sidecar.
“Treated ourselves to this place we saw on diners driveins and dives after shoveling a whole bunch of snow. The atmosphere is great, packed especially for a winter storm day. There were only three servers and one of them had to bartend as well, but food and drink came super fast. They are doing the best they can! Got their brunch special with duck (which is absolutely delicious), a veggie burger, French onion soup (urgently needed in this weather), 1 cocktail and 2 desserts. Total came up to $77 before tax and tips. Great deal. Totally worth walking half an hour in 20 inches of snow for.”
“Great family dinner spot with options for everyone! This was our first time at The Side Car and we were really pleased. It can be tough for me to find classic bar food that still works with being gluten free and mostly plant based, so I was thrilled to see both an appetizer and an entrée that fit my needs. The brussel sprout appetizer was fabulous, though be warned, it’s spicy. I love heat, so it was perfect for me. My entrée, the new vegan enchiladas, was also great. They were flavorful without being overly heavy, which made the whole meal feel satisfying but not too filling. The rest of my family raved about the Detroit style pizza and the wings. We will definitely be back. The service was spot on, the food was enjoyable, and while the atmosphere was loud, it was still manageable for a fun family night out. Best of all, the prices felt reasonable, especially compared to many places that feel a bit overpriced for a family dinner. Highly recommend!”
“We came here since this is a Diner's Drive-ins and Dives location, before going to see Jeff Dunham. Nice atmosphere for a corner bar. Service was very good and helpful. Server guided us on our decisions for our meal. The food was delicious. I had their meatball parm sandwich. My wife had the chicken cutlet sandwich, she loved it and it was huge. The French onion soup was very delicious!”
“Came here because it was features on diners and drive-ins and dives with Guy fieri. We stopped here before going to a show at the arena in Philly. The food was excellent I had ordered the meat chicken parmesan sandwich and it came with a side salad or french fries or French onion soup. I had gotten the side salad. My husband ordered the meatball parm sub with a side of French onion soup. My son ordered a burger with a side of French onion soup. We also got a basket of fries for the table to share. We each got a cider or a beer. Our total check came to $99 and some cents. The service was good. And our server was friendly. We would definitely stop back again.”
“Ordered by phone and when I arrived order was ready shortly after. Atmosphere was pretty chill and customer service (based on our small encounter) was fine. Nice location with 2hr parking. Now the fish & chips wasn’t the best. Well the fries weren’t terrible but the fish (while a nice size) had way too much batter. It was literally falling off all over the place. From the looks of it it appeared to be a big fish stick. This fish itself wasn’t actually not bad taste wise. Maybe try a different batter.”
