“I love this place and have been there more times than I have fingers. The Cortado Dos is my favorite salad in my whole history of salads and I have yet to take it down in a single sitting. The servers are always friendly, patient, and knowledgeable and I know that because my husband always has nine million questions about the menu. Tonight, KB kindly navigated him from pre-dinner sangrias to post-dinner horchata lattes with cheer and grace. I appreciate it.”

“My wife and I were blown away by this hole-in-the-wall spot in Roosevelt District. It was our first time here, and our server, Mini (not sure if I spelled that right) did such a fantastic job at making us feel right at home. She answered all of our questions, gave us great recommendations, and was extremely polite. We ordered the frijoles con queso, which was so flavorful (and a perfect appetizer), the New Mexican enchiladas, and the Bistec Tampequena. Everything was cooked to perfections. It didn’t try too hard to be different. Gallo Blanco took traditional dishes and simply elevated them to perfection. We cannot wait to return again.”

“All the food here is AMAZING! 🤩 I’ve gone two times and I’ve had the Huevos Rancheros and the chilaquiles and it taste so authentically Mexican. 10/10 would recommend! Parking can be a bit tricky to find, so just be aware that you have to parallel park in the neighborhood nearby”

“I mean talk about mouth watering, Gallo Blanco is delectable. From the drinks, to the food, to the service - all outstanding. I was disappointed I didn't have an opportunity to return for another night and if I lived locally, would make this a staple. Ordered the tacos; fried chicken, pork belly and carne asada. They were so good I ordered a 4th (pork belly again). I had the house margarita (x2). Service was top level. Sat at the bar, got a bunch of recommendations of other places to visit whilst in town. Highly, highly recommend.”

The mole sauce is rich, layered, and beautifully executed, a reminder of how special this dish can be when made with care and restraint. It’s easily one of the best versions in the area. What ties everything together is the restaurant’s ability to keep dishes vibrant, thoughtful, and refined while still honoring the comfort and soul of Mexican cooking. Nothing feels overdone or gimmicky—just clean, bright flavors that respect the ingredients. Overall, Gallo Blanco is a standout in Phoenix: a restaurant that pairs excellent food with an inviting, airy space, delivering a dining experience that feels both modern and authentic.
