Dish Osteria and Bar is an Italian restaurant in the South Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
“Dish Osteria Bar completely blew us away. For the first time, I truly experienced what real Italian cuisine tastes like — everything I had before doesn’t even compare. Every dish was incredible, full of flavor and made with real care. My whole family was genuinely impressed (which is rare!). Warm, cozy atmosphere and an unforgettable experience. We will 100% be back ❤️”
“WOW excellent real Italian food. Be ready to have your taste buds dazzled. The food was delicious and so fresh. Unbelievable it to me this long to find this place. 4.9 doesn’t do it justice. Should be 5.0.”
“In town for work and was really craving some Italian seafood. This place knocks it out of the park. Everything was fresh seasoned well, beer is cold and delicious. I had the Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare with the Brussel sprouts on the side. The staff and bartender are incredibly attentive, but not overbearing. I will be coming back again.”
“The service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. The atmosphere is on the dim side, but it works well for a relaxed dining experience. Prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the food. I highly recommend trying several appetizers before your entrée—they’re outstanding. Easily one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh.”
“We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while but it’s pretty difficult to get a reservation earlier than 8 PM. They obviously do a good business. Our reservation was at 5 PM, and I was impressed to see a line of people waiting to get in for the first-come, first-served bar seating. It filled up immediately. We were seated next to the bar area, close to the action. The inside is small, cozy, but lively and has charming tin ceiling tiles. The service was a little slow, and we had to ask for drink refills, something that was a little surprising for how many staff were working that night. The food was delicious with the exception of the seafood dish with risotto which, for the price-point, was underwhelming, over-cooked, and had cooled down by the time it was served to us. The rigatoni, however, was to-die-for! SO GOOD! It made up for the risotto, and is the reason why we will most definitely give this place a second chance.”
