“This place was exceptional. It’s some of the best Italian food I’ve had, and the service was wonderful. Every single dish we got was fantastic, but I specifically recommend the grilled calamari, the arancini, and the lasagna. From dessert, I adored the tiramisu, which they prepare at the table with freshly whipped cream and freshly brewed coffee, and it softens nicely over a few minutes. Lastly, I want to appreciate the service in a few ways, in addition to being attentive and quick, the staff here really helped figure out how solve my dinner problem: 3 of my 6 person group was late, and 2 of them had no eta. The hosts were flexible and got us seated at a smaller table first and later added an adjacent table when that party cleared out, so that our late comers were able to join.”

“Recommended by a friend. I was attentively greeted and seated at 4:00 on a Tuesday. Everyone was friendly and tried to help. Communication was a little difficult (background noise plus servers’ language proficiency.) I asked for sparkling water, but still water arrived. By this time, 3 different people were helping me. I asked for a very specific wine from the by-the-glass list; a fourth server came to my table to clarify. Even though the restaurant was less than half full, the whole experience was rushed. I suppose people on a short lunch break need that. My server recommended the Norma pasta, and the menu quickly disappeared from my hands. I was never offered a contorno or dessert. The blending of sauce and pasta (mantecata) was perfect. After my meal, I asked the server what I should try next time. She didn’t understand until I asked in Italian. The answer was the pasta alla nerano, by the way. I will be delighted to try that on my next trip to New York. I hope we can take it a little slower next time, especially off-peak hours.”

“One of the best Italian meals I’ve had in New York — and I spent 10 days exploring SoHo’s food scene, so that means something. The food is outstanding. Authentic Sicilian flavors done with real care. The ravioli is exceptional — perfectly layered, hearty but not heavy. The pasta alla Norma is a must-order. And do not skip the tiramisu. The waiter prepared it right in front of us, bringing the ingredients together at the table — simple, fresh, and unforgettable. But what truly sets Piccola Cucina apart is the service. The staff are warm, genuine, and make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. If you are visiting SoHo and want one meal that truly reflects what Italian food should taste like, this is the place. Highly recommended.”

“The service was exceptional and impressive. I love cannoli and truffle tagliatelle soooo much! As well as their garlic bread is very nice too. There are many selections of wine also. This is one of my lovely romantic dinner choices. Definitely will be back again and again!”

“We did a walk in after a long haul at SoHo. Starved, we were not expecting much taste but we were taken by surprise by the focaccia bread the house offered along with fresh olive oil. Our order started with grilled calamari.. it was fresh and delicious - reminded me of a juicy ceviche. Followed by our pasta dishes ragu gnocchi and seafood scampi fusilli pasta. They were out of the world! We weren’t expecting anything over 3/4 starred food in this corner but were taken by surprise how amazingly flavored the pasta sauces were. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore cos we clean swiped whatever we ordered, our server tempted us to look at the dessert menu. Totally fell hard and jumped in joy that we didn’t miss it - that lemon cheesecake was like a cherry on top of our wonderful order. We were so happy that we took cards so the next time we are in this neighborhood, we will definitely swing by.”
