Emporio, a rustic Roman-style trattoria, managed by the same team responsible for the successful Aurora Brooklyn and Aurora Soho restaurants, has become another one of their dining destinations known for excellent food delivered in a relaxed and authentic setting. Literally an Emporio, the restaurant will sell a superior selection of quality Italian provisions offering Italian and local cheeses, artisanal and house cured charcuterie, raw bar, fritti, wood-fired pizzas, homemade pastas and traditional Roman entrees. The menu concept is far ranging and flexible, allowing clients to design a meal suitable for their palette and their price point. In addition to traditional dining service, other options include a glass of wine with antipasti, a family style meal at a communal table or a pizza and prosecco break. Emporio, which means “local grocery store” in Italian, is offering authentic Roman cuisine with an international flair.
“We went the whole family on a rainy Saturday in the city. We looked in Google and we find the place and we said let's go. And I have to say everybody were happy the food was great the atmosphere was great all the people there taking care of you and making sure that you're having fun and enjoying your food. Everything we try everything we ate was delicious I felt like I am back in Italy. Highly recommended don't hesitate go there enjoy the atmosphere the drink and the food.”
“This place is criminally underatted! I’m not sure how it isn’t regarded as one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. This place should be full every night! Amazing .”
“Absolutely delicious!! My fiance and I, visited this Italian restaurant during our vacation last summer while walking through the neighbourhood. It has a great atmosphere, beautiful aesthetic and the food was incredible. Especially their Pizza !!! The service was also great. Highly recommend!!”
“Absolutely delicious! Everything was so flavorful and prepared perfectly. The focaccia & ricotta, and tagliatelle Alfredo were my favorites. The pizza was also amazing you can never go wrong with brick oven. The dim lighting and ambiance make it perfect for a girls night or a date night. The service was great, and I highly recommend making a reservation since it does get really busy. We were seated at the bar, which we didn’t mind at all.”
“Very cool and unique space. However, if you’re looking for focaccia, understand what’s on the menu is not that. It’s the pizza crust with olive oil and herbs. In fact, AI described my photo as “rosemary flatbread.” The waitress was kind but disappeared for a pretty long time after the entrees came. The rigatoni she recommended tasted great but was pretty oily. The draft red wine was decent.”
