“We had the 3 course special last Thursday and it was perfect. Caesar and Fried Shrimp for the 2 apps. For our 2nd courses we had a Crabcake with beautiful green beans and small potatoes.- all seasoned very well and a Fish dish served over greens (bok choy) with miso, mushrooms. Finally, the most amazing Banana Basque Cheesecake I have ever eaten. I usually like a taste of dessert and we were fighting over it at the table. Thank you for another lovely evening!”
“From the welcoming atmosphere, the music, the well educated server to the quality of the food, this place is a hidden gem in Richmond! I will bring my business partners and family when in town. The plating is elegant, but the taste and balance of flavors on the plate is masterfully crafted.”
“Best Oysters in RVA – A Must-Visit Happy Hour I’ve visited for happy hour a few times now, and this place never misses. The food is fantastic across the board, but the oysters are the real stars—easily the best I’ve had in Richmond, whether you get them raw or baked. While it’s a seafood spot, the real "dark horse" is the pasta bolognese; it’s hearty, flavorful, and an incredible value. The fish sandwich, tacos, and burgers are also top-tier. The decor is great, and the staff is incredibly accommodating. Note: They do include an automatic 18% gratuity, but for service this good, that’s a well-deserved minimum anyway. Give them a try; you won’t be disappointed!”
“We had our Christmas lunch here. It was my first visit and I'll definitely return. I had fried oysters appetizers, a crab cake lunch and the mango dessert. The food was amazing! My favorite cocktail was the citrus basil smash.”
“The food was underwhelming overall. The cheesecake tasted like it had just been taken out of the freezer, the burgers were very plain, and the soup lacked flavor. Given the high prices, the dishes felt more like reheated grocery-store items than thoughtfully prepared meals. For a bill exceeding $100 for two people, a bit more care and effort in the food would have been expected. The service was fine, and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside—but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re going primarily for the food.”
