“I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience hosting a baby shower at the Grove at Briar Barn Inn. From our first meeting, Allie, the Senior Events Manager, was absolutely amazing. Every detail was handled with such professionalism, care and attention that the entire process felt effortless. As someone who tends to be a bit of a control freak, I was shocked at how completely at ease I felt. Allie had everything under control and I never had to worry about a single thing. It is clear that she genuinely loves what she does and that passion shines through in every interaction. She was organized, incredibly responsive, thoughtful and truly invested in making the event special. The staff on the day of the shower were equally exceptional. They were warm, friendly, knowledgeable and cared that everything ran smoothly. Their attentiveness and kindness made all of our guests feel welcomed and cared for. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. It was intimate, cozy, elegant and full of charm. It felt magical. The food was so delicious!! All my guests were wowed!! I wholeheartedly recommend Briar Barn Inn. The combination of a stunning venue, outstanding staff and exceptional event management and delicious food made for a truly perfect day!!”
“This is our go-to brunch spot for when we are feeling like doing something nice. We always get coffee, the amazing pastries from A&J King, a side of sausage and a brunch item main from the menu. The venue is clean and nice. Decor and ambiance is elegant but inviting. We are always enamoured with the glassware and pottery choices for the tables. The staff is incredibly friendly. Shout-out to Isabella who was our very kind and attentive server the other day! The brunch menu items are great. Sizeable portions, wonderful flavor, and well thought-out. We are fans of the croque madame and the baked eggs. The real showstopper though is the sausage. We always order a side portion before we do anything else. They flavor, juiciness and snap on them is beyond, and currently only $5 for two. And these are the dinky sausages we have sadly become accustomed to- these are chunky (and mouthwatering). Head on over for brunch, you won't be disappointed.”
“The food was delicious. It came out quick . We sat at the side dining room because they had a private event in the main one and it was cute. Plenty of parking. We came in the early spring so outdoor sitting was not available yet but it must be glorious once it gets warmer.”
“Grove at Briar Barn Inn in Rowley absolutely killed brunch. From a creative Bloody Mary flight to what might be the best croque madame I’ve ever had, every bite felt thoughtful & elevated. Farm-to-table done to perfection in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Huge props to Paul & Dillon behind the bar for their amazing drinks & exceptional service—really added to the experience. 🌿🥂 Highly recommend.”
“It had probably been a year or two since I last went to the grove for dinner. The menu has not changed all that much since I went there last, obviously some small changes. The food was very good, we started with the brussel sprouts and fried pickles which were both very good. I had the duck which was excellent and crispy, and the other two in my party had the lamb pappardelle and steak frites. The food was very good, we ended with the coconut cake and cookies. Although the food was very good, I cannot say the same for the service. It was very disappointing to say the least. I don’t even think our server told us her name. It was slow, and she did not check in on us regularly. At one point we had all finished eating and waited probably 20+ minutes for our plates to be cleared and to order some dessert. Part of this issue may have been that we were seated in a dead zone it seemed. Originally the host was bringing us towards a booth, but then pivoted and sat us at a table right next to the server cart. Not ideal, it’s a bit weird eating next to where the servers go in and out of grabbing utensils. That was not the issue, anytime we wanted to do something we had to stare at the server to get her attention. Our water ran out in the beginning and was never replenished. For a restaurant like the grove, and for as good as the food is, especially on a Saturday night the service needs to be better. It took the three of us almost 2 hours to have dinner, and we sat down early. It’s also a little confusing because on the website it says that the resturant is closed on Saturday for dinner. Ultimately, the food was excellent, but the service brings this down, she was not around most of the dinner. She seemed to prioritize other tables a little more. Lastly, she just seems a little annoyed that we were one of her tables. All things you don’t want with a server, I’m not sure if I would go back here again because of the service. I can only imagine if we had this service with our whole family, dinner would’ve taken 3.5-4 hours.”
