“Sushi was unique. I never had apple inside my sushi . It tasted so good. Very suprised. This place is booming. Our waitor was experienced and very polite. Kinda hard to find waitors like that these days. The food was on point. Went for my birthday and really enjoyed it with my wife.”
“On another adventure of Rudy’s Eats brings us to a sophisticated high end Japanese restaurant. I was absolutely blown away by how delicious and fresh the fish and sushi was at this fine establishment. We started off strong with the Japanese A5 Wagyu nigiri, otoro nigiri, and the chotoro capriccio. The Japanese A5 nigiri is an absolute must get!!! It was melt in your mouth good with such a soft buttery smooth texture. They torch the top of the precious Japanese A5 Wagyu and put some salt on top to finish it off and my hats off to the sushi chefs! I usually don’t find myself obsessing over sushi but this honestly was the best sushi nigiri I ever had in my life. I was finding my soul leaving my body and returning to earth to find itself every time I had a delicious bite of the Japanese A5 Wagyu life. It makes me genuinely happy that there is such a great Japanese contemporary restaurant that is pumping out Japan level sushi and it is life changing. It literally set a new bar on sushi places in Sacramento and is single handily the best you will find in the region. The otoro nigiri was also a star of the show with a delicate texture and the fish was so fresh. The fattiness and flavor profile was something I’ve never experienced before and it was amazing. My date raved about how it just melts in your mouth. The chotoro carpaccio was fantastic as well and had jalapeños garnished on top with a zesty ponzu chilli oil sauce. We also got cocktails like the miso typsy and another one with guava and they were both stellar. We ended our meal with the kings roll and firecracker roll. The kings roll was our favorite and was beautifully plated with precision and refinement that shows how world class their sushi is and was a 10/10. The firecracker roll was also delicious with a nice ponzu sauce that wanted me coming back for more. Our server/chef was amazing and he educated us throughout the course of the meal letting us know what kinds of fish we were eating and what they were. It added such a great experience to are already fantastic dinner tonight. It felt like a true Japanese sushi experience. It was nice seeing the sushi chefs making fresh sushi in the front adding a level of sophistication and mastery to their art. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous with traditional Japanese art and decor that made our night felt like an authentic experience with low lighting. I really feel like this place should get the credit it deserves because they are doing something special in Sacramento. I didn’t feel like I was eating just at a restaurant but it was a Michelin star ⭐️ experience. I would say It is hard to get reservations here I say book it days or weeks in advance but that shows you how well respected and popular this place is but you won’t regret it!”
“Visited Kru for the first time last night and it was phenomenal. Our sushi rolls were amazing, fresh and flavorful. Our waiter, Quentin, was so attentive and helpful. Service, food, ambiance 10/10.”
“The Swordfish Neck is probably the best tasting fish I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I strongly recommend it, and I promise you won’t regret it. It looks like it doesn’t have much meat, but it easily feeds 2 people if you order other food items as well. Their assorted sashimi plate was definitely worth it too, a great assortment of fish with unique flavors. Additionally, the third dish that we ordered, I honestly forgot what it’s called, but it was phenomenal. Definitely coming back. Approximate bill for two people: $100 to $150. You can easily spend less, but it’s worth every penny to try different things they carry.”
“I came here on a Wednesday night by myself for a 7 P.M. dinner. I was told it was going to be a 30 to 45 minute wait. And I had no choice since I took a taxi there. Luckily I believe I only waited about 10 to 15 minutes at most. I sat at the bar, which is comfortable since the chairs have a back. I ordered the organic Greens salad which I was not warned it was for three people. It was really delicious. I also ordered the spicy tuna, Hamachi and California Rolls. The Hamachi was my favorite followed by the California. The spicy tuna wasn’t great. Also, the California had a crab mix, which I was not used to. The food came out quickly. The bread looked really good but I was way too full to eat. Honestly, I finished 75% of my salad and only ate 2 of the rolls.”
