“Another fantastic experience at Ryuko! Last week, I celebrated my birthday with my family at Ryuko West. This time, Ryuko South surprised us with even more tasty dishes! The beef tartare was still everyone’s favourite. We ordered the spicy salmon roll and the beef roll. We even ordered more spicy salmon rolls because it was so good and we finished the first plate so quickly… The ramen was really tasty, not too salty, very flavourful, however it is on the spicier side! The salad was just perfect for a quick taste bud refreshments after the meat and carbs, I loved how they incorporated fried taro crunch and quinoa. Our server was the loveliest, she was so patient and sweet! The interior design in Ryuko South is just as aesthetic as the West Store, but a slightly different style—I couldn’t stop taking nice pictures! It was the last lunch me and my family had together in Calgary before we begin our new journey in Toronto. I am so glad that we celebrated together at Ryuko again. So memorable and so much fun 🥢🍣🥰💕🏡🧑🧑🧒🧒 Will recommend to more friends and will come back soon!!”

“It had been a long while since our last visit, but we stopped by for lunch on a weekday and were blown away by how busy it was—absolutely a full house! It’s easily understandable once you see the lunch menu, though. The quality, quantity, and price of the food are incredible. We ordered the katsu set and the sushi set, and both felt like an absolute steal for what we paid. Everything was delicious and fresh. We can’t wait to come back to try the other lunch sets and their omakase. Just a heads up: I strongly recommend making a reservation in advance, as you’ll easily face a long lineup without one!”

“Ryuko South - Japanese Kitchen + Bar offers very good service and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and attentive, which made the experience enjoyable. The food was good overall — while it didn’t feel 100% traditional Japanese style, the dishes were still tasty and worth trying. Definitely give it a try if you have a chance.”

“I’ve visited Ryuko South multiple times since they’ve opened and always enjoyed my experience here! Their à la carte menu is fantastic and fresh. Recently tried their 16+ course Signature Omakase and it was excellent! Loved everything I tried and it was a really fun experience that I would happily do again. Service was professional and warm. Highly recommend Ryuko; no matter what menu you go with, you can’t go wrong!”
