“Fabulous! I have travelled extensively and eaten at many excellent venues. Dinner at Coho was one of my most memorable experiences. Every dish served at the winemaker's dinner was perfect. 10 out of 10. Coho would compare to the best in New York, Paris, San Francisco - anywhere. The intimate atmosphere (I counted 24 places) and excellent service simply amplify the excellence of the food. It was my birthday, no less, and they squeezed us in on short notice. Great people. If you like fine dining and are in Friday Harbor, you must experience Coho.”

“What a find! This was our first time visiting San Juan Island and we stumbled upon Coho on Resy. From the moment we walked into the cozy and intimate space, we were warmly welcomed by the excellent team. We both ordered the four course prix fixe and tried out 8 dishes from starters to dessert. All exquisitely prepared with local ingredients. The standouts were the creamy tomato bisque, the carrot cavatelli, the Dungeness crab toasts, the light as feather fried pork, the perfectly seared halibut, and the wonderful Valencia orange cake. And let’s not forget the fine cocktails and wine selections. Owners Janice and Tim have created a wonderful spot. Coho is a “must” do if you visit San Juan Island.”

“Coho was the crowning meal/experience of our anniversary weekend in Friday Harbor. Luckily we found little of note on the menu at a nearby place; when we asked whether they recommended anywhere nearby they said no, so we ventured out the door - and saw Coho around the corner. It's owned by the same wonderful folk who have Tucker House, where we spent an amazing night as part of our trip. Service was phenomenal and warm, and all recommendations were spot-on. Wonderful ambiance. And the meal! From appetizers to beverages through dessert, 10/10. Looking forward to returning.”

“We love it! It’s more than we expect! From the appetizer ceviche, beef steak to Valencia orange cake, they were all delicious!! I liked arugula combines with Wagyu beef, even sauce was so good! Dessert orange cake was amazing. The miso caramel matched with cake and vanilla ice cream. 🥺 Salad looks normal but it was actually really tasty! The cheese brought out the flavor and I liked the fresh orange. 🍊 It’s been a while we haven’t had this good dishes close to Seattle. Would definitely visit again.”

“We came here to use Amex Platinum resy credit. The service at Coho is absolutely stellar, on point without being stuffy, and making you feel at home. They were happy to walk us through the menu with our dietary restrictions, and made helpful recommendations. Cocktails were excellent. Some of the food was great, and others were a bit...meh. We chose to split one pre fixe menu with a few other ala carte dishes added (turns the $20 split plate charge into $5). The salad (not pictured) was actually great. The scallop duo was delicious (if only it was a bit larger). The main dish we ordered was halibut as the market fish, with an incredible pea puree and wonderfully light beurre blanc. The comments from other diners about other main dishes were very complimentary, including the vegetarian main. Dessert was a gluten free orange almond cake with miso caramel and it was divine. Disappointments were some of the smaller plates, the twice-baked blue cheese souffle: and the mushroom tartine. The "souffle" seems a misnomer, as it's really more of a...baked cheese plate, and was a bit of a letdown. The mushroom tartine was tasty but felt like $20 was a bit much for fancy mushroom toast. Maybe it could've been more elevated, like on puff pastry instead of a piece of grilled sourdough, just something to make it a bit more special, as the sourdough didn't really add much. Overall a special dining experience after a ferry ride, with solid main dishes and some hits and misses on small plates. TThe only service hiccup was they overcharged us by two drinks on our initial bill which had to be fixed, so the true total was closer to $201. Be sure to check your bill 👀”
