Lotus Noodle Bar is a Japanese restaurant in the St. Augustine neighborhood of St. Augustine.
“WOW, my daughter took me here for Father's Day celebration. Everything was so good, fresh, and well thought out. Fresh fish is easy, a great presentation and the sauces are the hard part, and they nailed it. Service was extremely good, very attentive to our needs. Definitely going back. Oh, seen some reviews about not giving enough food, BS. I was full. And for those that want quantity, go to a fast food joint or pizza shop. You want a dining experience, come here. A GREAT Special Occasion place to eat and enjoy...”
“This is the 3rd year in a row my boyfriend and I have had the pleasure of dining at Lotus for my birthday. After the first time I’ve never wanted to go anywhere else to celebrate it! The atmosphere is perfect in my opinion. It’s intimate and casual but not just your average place. You can tell so much intention has gone into every detail. Love the open kitchen. The staff is very attentive but not over the top and seemed very genuine. The FOOD. My god. Everything we’ve ever ordered has been out of this world. Each ingredient is so well thought out and it comes across in each bite you take. The freshness of the ingredients, the depth of the flavors, and the PRESENTATION. Each dish is SO beautiful. I’ve loved every dish, but the broth and flavors in the lobster and noodles ramen was quite literally the best I’ve had in my life (and I’ve had a LOT of great ramen). People who think it’s “overpriced” or “overhyped” just don’t know good food. Period. I can’t wait to come back next time. Please never change!!”
“A cozy and elevated spot that’s absolutely worth making a reservation for! The team is incredibly kind and attentive, and every dish feels like a high-end, flavorful culinary experience that transports you somewhere else. We love bringing the most special people in our lives here. Our brother, who is a chef in Philly and has worked in award-winning restaurants all over the world, told us this was the best dinner we’ve ever treated him to. A truly special and unforgettable dining experience. Just note that reservations are required so the team can give every table the best possible service.”
“Outstanding experience. Thought and care is put into every element of this restaurant. The atmosphere inside and out is intimate and soothing. The staff is caring, kind, and helpful. The best, of course, is the food. The food! Indescribable. A stunning dining experience with impeccable ingredients, curated and composed carefully and thoughtfully for a luscious dining experience. Everything here is otherworldly. The tuna appetizer with its contrasting flavors is a delight. The “Not so Traditional” caviar service is one of my favorites. It’s fun and tasty and I simply can’t stop eating it. Every Ramen dish is outstanding. You can’t find a better explosion of flavors. Top your dinner off with the NYC dream… The best dessert I’ve ever eaten.”
“Food was good and service was what I’d expect for the price. Chef was accommodating and friendly. Outdoor patio wasn’t too loud and has fans and space heaters depending on the weather. The appetizers were unique and worth splurging on. The sunomono was 5/5, tuna sashimi was 4/5, ceviche 4/5, and the scallop crudo was 3/5 I tried 4 different entrees and each had a unique flavor profile but unfortunately I can’t recommend them at the price point. In Jacksonville you can get similar or larger portion sizes, and in my opinion better tasting ramen, for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of Lotus. I heard high praise from numerous parties in the restaurant regarding the food but I don’t think it was regarding the entrees. Cons: In a large party they said they don’t split checks for large groups - understandable but we just paid $75 pp for dinner it would be appreciated to spend the 5 minutes to split it. They said they’d charge us for spicy chili sauce for entrees even though they’re $40 each…would’ve been nice to know before you took our sauces that came with the appetizers (not that I asked one waitress not to take them and another one did), and worst of all 4% CC fee. Only one bathroom - was a line the entire night. Edit to the response: Yes, the CC surcharge is understandable and clearly shown on menu and website, but the inability to split the check is not. I brought cash to cover my portion of the bill but I am not going to ask our entire party to bring $100 cash each to save 4%. I was surprised we couldn’t even pay the entire tip in cash given the gratuity was automatically added to the CC.”
