River & Fort

“We enjoyed our dinner so much that we came back the next night. The bar is lively and the view is as beautiful as promised. We shared the cold seafood tower and were impressed with the quality of the seafood, the shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly so they were crunchy and not mushy. The oysters were not sandy and had great flavor _ and of course the crab and lobster didn’t disappoint either. The cocktails were on point and you really have an amazing view of the river and fort. The next night we enjoyed burgers at the bar and were equally delighted, we would definitely come back if in the area again!”

“Very cool place on the historic area of St. Augustine. Excellent bar and beautiful views from the 2nd and 3rd floor rooftops. Preferred the larger menu of the main dining room so we watched sunset with a drink and went downstairs to eat. We had the Cuban Eggrolls, which were outstanding. For my entree I had the Braised Shirt Ribs and substituted the collard greens for the root vegetables...the collards were just ok. Way too sweet and saucy. The short ribs and the mash was excellent. My wife had the Ocean platter and loved everything on it.”

“Great service from Caroline on the roof top. She was the only waitress up there. Probably could have used 2 or 3 but she did the job of two to 3 waitresses all by herself and did it well. Thanks Caroline. I ordered the wings and they were very good. Perfectly cooked/seasoned and lots of meat on the bones. Drinks were made perfectly and were equally as delicious. The blacksmith goes very well with the wings.”

“Dropped our son off at college and I needed to distract my wife from feeling sad. We stopped here and the food and drinks were amazing. We got the empanadas deviled eggs and fried calamari. The deviled eggs were outstanding. The empanadas were crispy and the beef filling was excellent. The fried calamari was so good it should win awards. The service was excellent I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the waiter he was excellent and made recommendations as to what we ordered. I had a couple of classic mojitos and my wife had a sangria and a Diet Coke. The sangria was very good. If you have the time and are in st Augustine I definitely recommend you visit the River & fort restaurant and roof top lounge really great place and great views of the water from the roof top lounge.”

“Very nice restaurant and our food was quite good! I really enjoyed the crab claws and French onion soup, and my husband enjoyed the calamari. We enjoyed our drinks & my gunpowder and guava drink was super pretty. We did book ahead of time (8 hours or so) to be seated outside, but were told it was unavailable which was disappointing, but we were still sat by a large window and got to see outside which was nice. Our server was very kind and helpful, and though our dinner was quite pricey (200$+) it was a very nice experience and I will always remember coming here on our trip & recommended it to my mother and father in law who also came here on their st Augustine trip !”
