The Stirling Hotel

“I've been visiting the Stirling Hotel for 10+ years and have always loved the food and experience, but Thursday night was my best visit yet! I sat at the bar and ordered two appetizers off the specials menu, fried shishito peppers and a local grown salad with green goddess dressing, before enjoying a classic cheeseburger as my entree. The food was exceptional, the burger was cooked to a perfect medium (as requested), and even just the great smell of it was drawing looks and comments from guests and staff alike! Greg and Alana were a great duo behind the bar, super knowledgeable about the draft selection, and let me sample a couple of beers before committing to a full pour. I doubled down on the Cherry Dædalion from Ghost Hawk Brewing Co., which was delicious and paired perfectly with my meal. Save some space for dessert and order the banana pudding- the texture is perfect and it's packed with flavor. Will certainly be returning to try more creative items off the specials menu!”

“Perfect blend of cozy comfort and a laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. The drink menu is impressive and it offers a wide selection of cocktails and beers that pair well with the food. What really makes this place stand out is the overall vibe. I’ve been here during the winter and summer months and no matter whether you’re inside or enjoying the outside, it feels welcoming and comfortable. It’s the kind of restaurant you can visit for a casual lunch or a low key dinner. Highly recommend the tavern burger and Mac and cheese.”

“Marvelous! I am originally from Costa Rica and I got lots of memories of a place I used to go to get my burgers in my hometown it was called "Los tallereres" their burgers were juicy and literally melted in my mouth. The closest thing I found here in the USA is Five guys, we'll until today. The Stirling Hotel has the best burgers I have tried in 21 years. Believe it or not I felt like that food reviewer from Ratatouille, I wente directly back on time when I was a teenager. It was phenomenal. Besides this wonderful experience I tried a pumpkin cider beer from a New Jersey brewery. That was out of this world 🌎. Our waitress was also fantastic. This won't be the first time I go there that is a promise. 💯 recommended 👌!”

“Go there for the drinks. They were great. Food was a mixed bag. All dishes were under-seasoned. Maybe it was just too busy? Was the fryer was broken? Fried pickles were soggy/not fresh. Even the regular fries were lacking. Service was great. We'd been here ~10 years ago. They used to have umbrellas and outdoor tables. Festive. The semi-permanent 'outside' tent lacks all atmosphere, and was the wrong choice on a nice sunny day. The beer garden looked good. Maybe we'll revisit that. Probably not.”

“I love this place so much but the food is really going downhill. The wait staff and the bar staff is great and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a family pub. We had a couple of mediocre meals so we had stayed away for a little while but came back last week because we had a friend in town. the voodoo wings were still absolutely on point but everything else was just lackluster. The fish and chips were under seasoned and the fries were cold and the ribs were like shoe leather, not every bite but at least half of the rack. I took my friend here because I used to feel like even though it's not a barbecue restaurant, they had some of the sneaky best barbecue around...the wings still delivered but with the ribs being as poor as they were, and all other food just average, I just can't see going back anytime soon unless it's for drinks.”
