OLIVIA Tampa is an Italian restaurant in the Tampa neighborhood of Tampa.
“First, could be a little loud, but not overly loud. Second, on the menu they say that they add %15 percent tip. You can add more. The waiter will tell you that that is not for him, but all the workers. Now for the place. WOW!!! This place is GREAT!!!!! And this comes from a former New Yorker who has eaten at all the top restaurants in New York City. Everyone who works in this place is great. The service-everything. To start we had the warm goat cheese with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and bread. Then a Caesar salad. Great! Entrees we had the chicken parmigiana fixed table side. A 10 oz cutlet. Very impressive. This entree makes the whole meal worthwhile. For desert we had a very large portion of tiramisu and waffles with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces. Absolutely fantastic.”
“Delicious outstanding lunch here on a Saturday. We were warmly greeted by staff at front door. We were seated almost immediately. We arrived at 12:30pm and it was busy. So reservations are recommended. Our server was right on point at every turn. He was friendly and he made us feel welcome. It was our anniversary and this restaurant made it special for us. We were seated next to a couple of young sweet girls that we exchanged some conversation and laughs with. We ordered the lemon lobster pasta, rigatoni bolognese with two meatballs added, and pizza as an appetizer and their version of a Cesar salad. All was prepared perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed. The pizza was amazing!!! Every bite of our pasta dishes was enjoyed. We weren’t rushed in any way. We were very full and didn’t order a dessert but the restaurant brought out a sweet little cannoli as a treat. Don’t care for cannolis to much, but Olivia’s was yummy. We highly recommend and look forward to returning!”
“Went here for our anniversary dinner. Our server was great and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the Brussel sprout appetizer and it was probably some of the best Brussels we've ever had 10/10. My husband ordered the bolognese and he said it was average a 6.5/10. I ordered the short rib agnolotti and added steak tips, it was delicious 9/10. The drinks were well made. Ordered the flourless chocolate cake, we werent fan of it. It was more of a thick chocolate mousse, makes sense being that it was flourless. The quality was great though.”
“We recently celebrated our anniversary at OLIVIA, and it was a great dining experience in Tampa. From the modern, upscale vibe to the incredible food, everything was perfect. Our server, Julieane, was absolutely fabulous her recommendations for our appetizers were spot on and truly enhanced our meal. It was also such a lovely gesture to receive a complimentary hibiscus with club soda for our anniversary celebration! We got the Arancini which was one of my favorite. The creamy lobster mixed with savory pimento cheese inside was a flavor explosion. Honestly, my only complaint is that the portion felt too small because I just couldn't stop eating them! I’ve had bruschetta at many places, but this one topped them all. The balance of flavors was just perfection. The Margherita Pizza had that perfect fresh mozzarella and basil taste, and the Spaghetti (their Cacio e Pepe is a must!) was excellent. The Filet Mignon was a standout exceptionally tender and juicy. We finished the night with the Apple Butter Torta and it was delicious and a great seasonal treat, though a bit on the sweeter side for me personally. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back soon to try even more of their menu. If you’re looking for a top tier Italian experience in Tampa, this is it!”
“If I could give OLIVIA 4.5 stars, I would. Overall, we had a fantastic family brunch. We made a reservation through Resy and were seated promptly. Our server, Travarious (I hope I spelled that correctly), was outstanding from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and never overbearing. As a parent of a 3-year-old, I have to give the staff a huge shoutout. From the moment we walked through the front door, everyone made our daughter feel welcome. Whether it was greeting her, giving her high fives, or checking in with her throughout the meal, they truly made her feel included. Any parent knows how much that can change the entire dining experience, and OLIVIA absolutely hit a home run in that department. For food, we ordered the garlic bread, truffle fries, Margherita pizza, Agnolotti, Bucatini, drinks, and finished with the olive oil cake (substituted with raspberry sorbet and mango). The garlic bread and truffle fries were excellent, and the Margherita pizza even earned an enthusiastic thumbs-up from our 3-year-old, which is about as honest a food critic as you'll find. My wife loved the Agnolotti, and I really enjoyed the Bucatini. The olive oil cake was very good as well, although a little sweeter than I personally prefer. We originally wanted the tiramisu, but with a 3-year-old at the table, we decided to skip the espresso dessert and choose something everyone could enjoy. The atmosphere was lively for a Sunday brunch. It was definitely busy and energetic, but never so loud that it became distracting. It felt like everyone was simply enjoying a relaxing weekend meal. The reason this isn't a full 5-star review comes down to two things. First, the pricing felt just a little high for what we ordered—not enough to keep us from coming back, but enough to notice. More importantly, we specifically made a reservation expecting to be able to order from the full menu. We arrived around noon and found out only the brunch menu was available. I couldn't find that restriction mentioned on either the restaurant's website or on Resy. Had we known, we simply would have booked a later reservation. That said, we genuinely enjoyed our experience and would absolutely return. Next time, we'll plan our reservation around the dinner menu. One final note: OLIVIA offers complimentary valet parking. While the convenience was appreciated, the valet attendants came across as though they didn't really want to be there. Since they're a third-party company, I don't necessarily hold that against the restaurant, but it was the only part of the experience that didn't match the warm hospitality we received from everyone inside. If you have young children but still want an elevated dining experience, OLIVIA deserves to be on your list.”
