“We were in Oxford for a weekend wedding and decided to try something off the beaten path. Our experience was great from the atmosphere, food and attentive staff (Nicholas was our waiter). If we lived nearby we’d be regulars.”

“Excellent experience at Grit. Phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere. I got the Huevos Rancheros, a grit cake topped with brisket, eggs, avocado, and spicy black beans, and it was awesome. I also got their Bloody Mary, which was very good. Highly recommend.”

“A bit loud but overall a great experience. The fried short ribs were GREAT! The sauce was sweet and spicy but not too much- I could still taste everything. I also had the salad with the fried chicken skin and it was tasty and a bit on the savory and salty side (there were olives and capers so duh lol). I wish there had been more eggs and potatoes because they were so good in that salad.”

“Ok first id would like to say this place has a good vibe but thats about it!!!!! What a shame because I would have spent alot of $$$ over the course of time.Now to What happened. My lovely girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to Como and got to Oxford and said let do Grit!!!!! Never go against your get lol anyways. We sat i the bar and the drinks were very good no complaints there. We ordered the Bread and Apple salad it was ok not the my steak came out totally under cooked and cold my girlfriend had the stuff squash and it was horrible. Now they did take that off the bill . We had a few more drinks and said hey we come back tomorrow the play is kool vibe is nice . So we did and invited her parents to join us for brunch. We ordered the food was again not good just not good !!!!! But this was not why iam writing this !!! So my girlfriend gets up to go to the bathroom and the bartender ask her hey come here. Then tells her we did not pay for the last 2 drinks from last night and ask her for a card ??? Now I had went to the bar before she got up and spoke to him. He never said a word. So she pays him tell me what happened and needless to say I was pissed!!! I had spent over 500 in 2 shitys meals!!!! And the kid has the stones to hit my lovely girlfriend up for 18 dollars worth of drinks !!!! I have been in alot places and experienced alot things but this was just low rent.”
