“This may have been one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. The atmosphere was modern and artsy, the staff were super friendly, and the food was beyond anything I’ve had in a long time. We got to experience brunch, and I got the shrimp and grits. Husband got biscuits and gravy. The shrimp and grits were absolutely mind-blowingly good. The biscuits and gravy were also phenomenal. We came here even though it was 20 minutes out of our way, and it was 100% worth the detour. In fact, we’ve already agreed that the next time we’re in the Greenville area, we’re coming back to Topsoil.”

“Great restaurant and experience! Our server Max was excellent and the food was outstanding. We sat out on the patio and it was comfortable even on a February evening. Recommendation getting the wine pairing with dinner as it’s reasonably priced and you get decent pours with your courses. The trout dip stater was exceptional. Recommend reservations and we will be back for brunch and blues - check out their events page!”

“I haven’t even left the restaurant yet as I’m writing this review. My stomach literally cannot intake anymore. Farm to Table—more like farm straight to my mouth. This dining experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The way these dishes elevate texture, taste and presentation is a true testament to their mission in working with local farmers. Nestled in Traveler’s Rest, Topsoil is a hidden gem. Vibes are immaculate—dim lit (small lamps on each table), comfortable seating, great music and perfect noise level to have a conversation with your people but not hearing the people next to you. Our waitress Prentiss was amazing, she is very knowledgeable on the dishes, and gave great recommendations. We WILL be back here throughout each season as it’s a seasonal menu.”

“Service was good! Some dishes were bland/dry but shrimp & grits were amazing!!! Best I’ve ever had!!! Honorable mention to the green shakshuka + carrot cake pancakes which were also good!”
