“Neat little diner essentially just across the street from the EV charger. The food is locally sourced where possible. Its very fresh. I got the Omellette with fresh seasonal veggies. I would love to stop here again during my travels. The service was nice and I liked the atmosphere”
“Wonderful lunch! Very knowledgeable about gluten free foods. Chef used separate kitchen items and new gloves to prepare our meal. Even cautioned us that bacon was not GF so didn’t put on our appetizer. Chose no bun but offered GF bun. Fries were delicious in a designated GF fryer.”
“Dinner for two... last minute decision to drive to Upper for dinner at Fort 88. We arrived at 840pm, and they close at 10pm. We were met promptly and seated with smiles and gusto. We ordered: the crab rangoon dip, smoked wings, tacos, mac & cheese, and the meatloaf sandwich entrée to share. Let me say, we could have (and maybe we did 😏) pick that bowl clean. Good god... that dip with the homeade chips... PERFECTION!!!! The meatloaf sandwich, we weren't expecting much, so not sure if it was an under promise, over deliver situation... or it really was so good that no crumbs were left... either way - it was so good that it had us questioning why people go to Cap City for meatloaf at all. We got a couple of the seasonal mixed drinks - the $5 buckeye martini was a perfect nightcap... while my fiancé does not drink alcohol had the N/A Apple Smash. We're on our journey of ONLY having date night at non-chain restaurants with N/A drink options... this one is a solid 5/5”
“We (05) stopped by for brunch on Saturday. They had a decent brunch menu. The atmosphere was great, our waiter, she was super. We sat near the kitchen and had the privilege to see every dish come out. Fantastic. The restrooms were big and spacious, and clean. Pretty place, not small, not big. It looks like a garage from inside.”
“So, overall not a great first experience for me here. I called ahead about 40 minutes to try to make a reservation (understanding that isn't a lot of time). I am told they'll hold two seats at the bar, if they open up before I get there. After arriving we get sat outside in the heated "tent". It was so hot I felt like I was getting a sunburn on my face, yet my legs and feet were freezing. So moving on from that, the brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. The overpriced burger and fries were mediocre. The service was okay. Although, they took a different couple inside to sit at the bar that arrived after us so that was frustrating. I probably won't come back, but it has the potential to be good, just a bad overall "valentine's date" for this mom and dad.”
