“The food was SCRUMPTIOUS!!! BRUSSEL sprouts were yummy. Drunken Ribeye. Awesome!! Ribs fell of the bone. Egg Rolls were Exceptional!!! They topped it off with great service. Also, the manager on duty, Q, made my parent's anniversary extra special by sending specialized dessert! I couldn't be happier with my visit this evening!!!”
“This place was fantastic. Came up to Virginia for a work trip and my wife told me that I absolutely must try Carlyle. It's located in a pretty cool area, loads of other places to eat. No wait on a Wednesday at 6. Service was prompt. The Carlyle Old Fashioned had a unique plum (I think that's what he said) sweetness that just worked really well. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. I've got to figure out how they did it. It just absolutely melts in your mouth. It's unlike any burger I've ever had. I hadn't eaten all day and I was barely able to finish the burger. Ordered Key Lime Pie to go which I'll be trying that out later. My server got switched out but everything was seamless and people seem to genuinely like working there. Definitely coming back.”
“We came into Carlyle for a quick lunch and a glass of wine, but our waitress, Heaven, provided such incredible service that we ended up getting a bottle! She wasn't pushy at all—just had a perfect way of suggesting exactly what we needed to make the meal better. I absolutely loved her recommendation and her energy. It’s rare to find such intuitive and friendly customer service. Thanks a lot, Heaven! We will definitely be back."”
“Our server Devin was amazing, top tier!! The spinach artichoke dip was hearty and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their meals, from the cheese burger, ribs , crab cakes and my personal favorite the grilled chicken over angel hair noodles. The atmosphere was family and impressive.”
“After this restaurant, I’ve decided that Great American Restaurants just aren’t really my thing. I’ve been to a few of them now, and I just don’t quite see the hype. That said, there were definitely some highlights. The deviled eggs were really good, the bourbon cake was delicious, and the ciabatta-style rolls were excellent. Those were the standout items for me. One thing I’ve noticed across several Great American Restaurants is that the seafood hasn’t impressed me. It tends to have a stronger fishy smell and taste than I’d prefer, and in my opinion, really fresh seafood shouldn’t have that. Overall, it’s not a bad restaurant by any means. If friends wanted to go, I’d happily join because you can always find something enjoyable on the menu. But for me, there just isn’t anything particularly memorable or noteworthy that would make me go out of my way to come back.”
