“This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Their beef cigars have so far been my favorite food on my 5 day trip to DC, I cannot recommend them enough. Their flatbread is also outstanding, as are their apricot mules. The rueben, lamb kebab, and lamb Shawarma were also all big hits for the people in my party who ordered them with the only thing that wasn't beyond our expectations being the cr burgers, which I was told was just standard. Our waiter also provided great service with regular check ins, drink refills, and water refills, and was very personable. If I ever return to DC I will be back!”

“Walk in on a fluke / amazing happy hour. $9 old fashion and Monday $15 flat breads I like place that don’t try to be everything to everyone - looking at the menu you can see they do middle eastern and do it well . Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu The old fashion was well balanced, luxardo cherry and one large ice cube so that the drink doesn’t get watery Good flat bread - right amount of spices and the side of pickle created the perfect combination And you know it is legit when you see someone in the back cut the fries by hand instead of some Sysco frozen stuff The place had a lay back feel that felt just right Enjoyed it a lot”

“On June 13, 2025 we did a full buy-out of Carving Room, NoMa for our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and could not be more pleased with the experience! The level of service and quality was unparalleled. The food served was delicious, diverse and memorable. The presentation of the dinner buffet was stunning, and the table place-settings were beautiful and artistic. One of the main reasons that we chose Carving Room for our event was the family-centric atmosphere. They put great care into our event as if it was one of their own family gatherings and made us feel welcome and celebrated. We got to know Abi and Chef Oded very well throughout the process and thoroughly enjoyed working with them. The entire team at Carving Room was exceptional and incredibly kind. From the start, Abi was accommodating, thoughtful, organized and creative. She helped us plan our menu, talk through beverage options, and work out seating arrangements for our guests. She was very open to our ideas and timelines and offered welcome feedback and options. Our rehearsal dinner served 55 people, and then we opened the restaurant to an additional 90 guests for Welcome Drinks. The transition happened seamlessly and the night was executed flawlessly. The pricing was very reasonable for a Friday night event in the DC area. The specialty cocktails were a particular hit! Guests were also very complimentary of the non-alcoholic beverage options. For anyone looking to host an event (or just looking for a great meal), Carving Room is the place to go. We had the perfect Wedding Rehearsal Dinner/Welcome Drinks & we will continue to come back to Carving Room for dinner on anniversaries to come!”
