“I decided to come here with some friends after passing this place a few times. I’m so happy we did! I ordered the collard greens & brisket. the brisket was so tender!! and the collards were seasoned to perfection! we all shared the deviled eggs & the chicken wings from the starter menu. These were also delicious! I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The service was great too! please add this to your list of restaurants to try!”

“Pennyroyal has been one of my go-to restaurants in the DMV since 2020. I can always find something I like or a familiar favorite on the menu. This was my first time trying the gumbo. It was solid and very filling, but I’d probably stick to one of the burgers or sandwiches, which are consistently good. My friend is vegan and had high praise for the vegan gnocchi. I also love the restaurant aesthetic. It’s perfect for friends or a date night/brunch.”

“Pennyroyal Station was an absolute gem. The atmosphere was intimate, cozy, and very welcoming. My family loved the industrial style and the overall cool vibe of the place. The food was delicious. I had the gumbo paired with the Green Goodness drink and it was a perfect combo. The portion sizes were just right and very satisfying. The service was great from start to finish, and one thing that really stood out was how clean the bathrooms were. That attention to detail says a lot about the place. Overall, great food, great service, and a unique, stylish atmosphere. Highly recommend Pennyroyal Station and we will definitely be back.”

“Get yourself here! When? Anytime. It’s great on a Sunday evening to have a meal and drink with some life affirming ambiance while getting week-ahead work done. It’s phenomenal as a date night treat, the vibe is dialed in with high ceilings, verdant plants, and glowing, warm lighting. It’s a bustling brunch spot, deal-seekers happy hour. Just do it!”

“I need to try this again. The French toast I got was not it. I love jam, mascarpone, and ginger snaps, but I think the ratio was off and there was too much on top of the toast which then made it soggy. I like crispy edge, thick French toast. There was also no real taste to it which was disappointing. My drink was fantastic though (guava and ginger based) and I’d get it again. The service and outdoor seating were nice. Waiters and waitresses were welcoming and kind.”
