“I'm from Detroit and was eager to try the side door pizza which didn't disappoint. Tasted like a piece of home. We had the spicy margaritas and requested them straight up rather than on the rocks and they obliged. It tasted great and the Tajín on the rim was an added bonus. Nice atmosphere coming in for a late evening dinner after arriving to DC. This is a definite recommendation for Detroit Style Pizza.”

“You nailed it Side Door Pizza. As a former Detroiter, I have a fondness for Detroit-style pizza, so this tasted like pure nostalgia for me. If comparing to the ultimate Detroit pizzaria: “Buddy’s”, I would say this was very close. The sauce on my meat-lovers tasted like it has some Giardiniera or Chicago-flare to it, which was okay, but not entirely authentic. Despite the questionable giardiniera, my family and I enjoyed every bite. Thanks for the good food. My son was very amused and enjoyed the foot-long mozzarella stick. My wife and I thought the Caesar salad was awesome, punched up with the fried shredded brussel sprouts, and made with delicious dressing. The spicy margaritas were very well made. I would recommend others to try it out, if they want a good Detroit style pizza. I would return. Well done.”

“I went with my family group today. Salmon was excellent, service was average, and there was only gelato as a GF option, and it was not very good. My sister also didn't enjoy her ice-cream nuggets with caramel. Challenging to find parking at the minimum, it took me a little over 10 mins. It didn't stand out as a place to return; it's not cost-benefit friendly, it's really an average place, but we had a delightful family dinner.”
