“The Claremont is such a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. My wife and I are very happy guests. Some time after a smooth check-in, we needed some assistance and guest relations staffer Effie kindly made sure our needs were totally met. (Thanks, Effie!) The Claremont’s amenities and eateries are very good (each with convenient hours for different parts of the day) and the employees are kind, helpful people.”
“We recently hosted a fairly last minute event at the Claremont, and it went off without a hitch. Within a week, we went from first contact to execution with no hiccups. Everyone was incredibly accommodating throughout the process, and we truly couldn't have done it elsewhere. In fact, several of the other venues we reached out to got back to us AFTER we hosted the event. The Claremont was within hours. If you've been to this resort, you'll understand the beauty and cache that accompanies it. Surprisingly, it was less expensive than a few of the other less attractive venues that HAD gotten back to use in time. All of that said, none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of Kishara, Ceasar, and James. Kishara worked with us from first contact all the way to conclusion, ensuring we selected the space and amenities appropriately, and provided additional touches along the way. Cesar provided attentive service during the event, keeping, the food and drink available, the space clean, and attendees happy. James made certain our food and beverage were on time and delicious. Once again, our experience at the Claremont was outstanding. Will look to host another event there in the future.”
“I splurged and stayed in the tower suite for a night during Christmas season. The location is great, nestled in the Berkeley hills. The staff was very professional and polite. I had a bit of trouble finding the room initially but one of the staff (Hannah I believe) was very kind and sweet and helped me find it. The room was amazing and it was just a short stair walk to get up to the tower. What amazing views! If I had to nitpick anything it was that the holiday decorations in the room felt a bit cluttery. I had to move several items just to get some dresser and table space. Overall though it was an amazing stay.”
“Rooms are very spacious. Well stocked with essentials, and come with robes and slippers when requested. Quiet at evening and temperature control both in living space and in bedroom. Service was hit or miss. The events team and concierge was excellent. I couldn’t ask for more attentive and went beyond their way. Always ready to assist and very attentive. Glad to work with the team. Room cleaning staff however was definitely a miss. I had a dessert plate left in my room for 4 days. Room would be cleaned except for the dirty plate. It wasn’t consistent and it was good one day and left me wondering why the next day. Location was great, and there was plenty to do but sadly its left with tennis, pickleball or swimming only. Theres no other sports that one can play. Which was sad since they have plenty of space.”
“I love visiting the hotel for business, but the parking situation is borderline unacceptable. There are no EV chargers available unless you pay for valet. While that is not totally uncommon, what is different here is that management has completely outsourced parking and guest experience to a third-party vendor. It’s not a good. First off, you’re required to register your personal information with this app and financial information in order to pay. While not everyone cares about privacy, it’s still a hassle to have to utilize third-party software to register your info. When I asked the desk staff about adding parking to my room I was told it wasn’t possible and had to use the app. I thought I was over it, but upon leaving the gate was apparently delayed for everyone and only let cars out one per green light. It added 15 minutes to my travel time since there was a large number of people leaving at once. From a guest experience this was highly inconvenient as a first impression upon my arrival, and left a bad memory as my last thought. I’d encourage the management to think about whether this cost-cutting change is positive for guest experience, I think not.”
