“The oysters, hush puppies, and lobster roll were all amazing. Pretty great wine list too. I’ll definitely be back to try a few more things off the menu.”

“The Filet-o-Sandwich is a must-order. The fish was soft and tasted fresh off the grill, with perfectly melted cheese, and the bun wasn’t overly doughy. The Crispy Fried Cod was okay, tasted fresh, but didn’t stand out otherwise. The coleslaw leaned more toward a salad than a traditional slaw, so it may be hit or miss. The fries that came with our dishes were excellent. The menu included helpful flavor descriptions for each oyster, and I appreciated that they were served in the same order as listed. A few may have been switched, though, since the flavors didn’t always match the descriptions. Still, whoever shucked them did an excellent job. They were easy to slurp, with no shells. My notes for the oysters: Bijou Pearl (slightly salty, ocean taste), Love Point (similar but less fishy), Nauti Sister (plump and soft, mild flavor), Sailor’s Valentine (like a smaller version of Nauti Sister), Hama Hama (briny with a slight copper taste), and Olympia (also coppery, but slightly sweet).”

“This place is popular! It's also small and cozy. Must plan ahead! When my party of 4 arrived for our Saturday lunch reservation, we got seated straight away. We all ordered the fish sandwich or fish and chips, and we were all very pleased. Not only was the fish perfectly tender with a tasty, crispy breading. The fries were crispy, yet tender and perfectly seasoned. It was weird that my neat bourbon was served in the same glass as the water, but no big deal. I'm excited to return and explore more of the menu.”

“We really enjoyed our dinner and the great service at Earl’s Premier. My husband and I both ordered the cod — the portion was generous and the fish was incredibly fresh. He also had the clam chowder, which he said was the best he’s had in a long time. Our server was so thoughtful and brought us a champagne toast to celebrate our anniversary. It was such a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back!”

“I’ve lived in KC most of my life and this was one of the best meals I’ve had in this city. Atmosphere feels like you are in a coastal pub and the food is some of the best seafood I’ve had anywhere, including the coasts. Executed perfectly and with incredible flavors you won’t be disappointed. Service was stellar and only added to the experience. It will be a regular in my rotation for the foreseeable future. Can you get good/fresh seafood in this city? Absolutely. It’s at Earl’s.”
