Reservations: Indoor reservations are released on a rolling basis 30 days in advance at 9:00 AM. To ensure the best experience for our guests, patio reservations are released manually based on the weather forecast and are typically made available the morning of the reservation date. Please note that we maintain a strict cancellation policy with no exceptions. An homage to all things Northern Italian with a Midwest flair, Zero Zero highlights freshly milled flour from just a mile away, local farm eggs, local pasture-raised meats, and freshly baked focaccia daily. Our ever-changing menu features handmade pastas, seasonally driven plates, and a carefully curated wine list. For years, we’ve been known as a small pasta shop dedicated to elevating the home dining experience with fresh pasta to cook at home. You can still stop by to purchase pasta to take home, but now, we’re opening our doors for dinner service—offering a chance to enjoy our pasta the way we envision it.
“Absolute blown away by our meal. We were lucky enough to snag a last-minute reservation and now we understand why people wait so long to eat here! Worth every penny. The Caesar salad and focaccia were perfect starters, and we ended up splitting three pastas, which we do not regret one bit. The angolotti was remarkable and the lumache was just an delicious. The spicy vodka pasta was also good, but nowhere near the other two!! Ended with a perfect dessert to share. He ambience, the service, the whole experience: 12/10 ❤️”
“We finally got in! Overall, a wonderful meal. We sat outside and tried a variety of different items (see pictures). The Negroni was the best so far in KC. As an Italian american, I am very critical (at age 2 I was cooking with my nonnie). Growing up in NYC did not help either. For Kansas, this is good Italian food. The sauce could have had a little more flavor - spice to it. Service was great. Good dialogue, banter, and recommendations. I would absolutely come back.”
“GO HERE! this is the best restaurant in KC. It only seats maybe 12 people so book ahead, plan it, it’s amazing! It’s worth the wait for the booking, get on the waitlist! We had a late night reservation in winter before Christmas and brought our appetite and we were not disappointed. We were on a waitlist for a table and it was worth it!!!! The service, the ambience, the intimacy, the FOOD! The wine. Everything. No notes. We sat at the bar facing the street with a cute view of downtown lights. We ordered basically one of everything to try it. The focaccia was soft and flavorful, the cute little individual stance arancini balls were so crunchy yet soft and smothered in Parmesan cheese I nearly died. The pesto burrata was gooey and oily and salty and paired perfectly with the focaccia. Every pasta dish was perfectly balanced to sauce and pasta and I would order one of the everything and take it home if you don’t eat because it is all amazing. I finished with some perfectly matched dessert wine. Will be back for sure! Already on the waitlist again!”
“From the moment we stepped into Zero Zero, we knew we weren't just here for a meal, we were here for an experience that rivals the best Michelin starred spots we’ve visited across the globe. We were immediately struck by the intimate, intentional scale of the space. There is something incredibly soulful about a setting where you can catch the low hum of neighbors sharing life stories and reminiscing over dinner; it feels like a true community sanctuary. Our server, Ian, was phenomenal welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about the menu. As someone who has ordered Old Fashioneds from California to Portugal, I can confidently say this was the best I’ve ever had, hands down. While the Orange Wine was a bit too adventurous in its bitterness for my fiancée’s palate, it was a high-quality choice for anyone looking to step outside their comfort zone. The starters, the whipped ricotta and Caesar salad, set a bar so high I wasn't sure the main course could top it. During this time, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mitch. Hearing the story of how a Wisconsin native brought such heart and craft to Kansas City added a layer of personal connection you just don't find at larger chains. Once the mains arrived, the experience didn't just stay consistent it peaked. As avid travelers, we are rarely this surprised, but Zero Zero truly competes on a world class level.”
“I have been wanting to eat here for so long, and it was everything I dreamed it would be. It is teeny-tiny (hence the challenge in obtaining reservations, but the outdoor patio opening this spring will help with that) but adorable, cozy, and quaint. You feel like you're dining at a friend's home! We started with a couple of well-balanced old fashioneds and focaccia with whipped ricotta. Everything thing here is house-made, and the pillowy, golden bread was studded with fresh rosemary. I had the lumache alla norcina, beautiful snail shell-shaped pasta (again, house-made) with luscious crmbled Italian pork sausage and light white wine cream. Delish! But the star of the show was my husband's butternut squash agnolotti. The fried sage and deeply caramelized sweet little hazelnuts were everything! We finished with their Basque cheesecake which was deliciously burnt-ish on top--my favorite. Next time I'll order it without the raspberry sauce that overpowered the delicate cake. The service was so warm and personable, the drinks tasty, and the food impeccable. I can't wait to return!”
