Fuki Sushi Japanese Restaurant was established in 1978, the first Japanese restaurant in Palo Alto. We boast a full traditional menu from agemono, yakimono, menrui, sushi, sashimi and house specialties.
“The sushi quality is excellent. Everything was so fresh and tasty, and each roll offered its own unique experience.”
“A traditional Japanese experience in the heart of Palo Alto. Reservations are recommended. We sat in a group of 3 with a stroller on the side. We were given ample time to order and the waitress came back with hot miso soup and extra small plates for sharing. The menu has quite a variety of rolls and combination dishes. We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer, the mayo sauce had slight spicy kick. The Fuki Sushi lunch sets are a good choice for a little variety. My partner ordered the Fuji Mori, variety of high quality fish. If you're in the area, stop by to enjoy a quiet and quaint atmosphere.”
“One of the best fish courses I ever had. The lady serving our table is very kind and thoughtful about any allergies or other requests we had. Good for gatherings, quiet and spacious. A little tricky to locate the restaurant at first but parking is sufficient.”
“We hadn't dined here for several years. It was really nice to dine here again. Fuki Sushi reminds me of being in Japan. We really enjoy this type of setting for a Japanese restaurant. The nigiri sushi and sushi rolls are very good! Service was good, and the atmosphere was just okay because there was a little boy that was noisy. One great thing is that they also have Tatami rooms (Washitsu).”
“As a sushi lover, I know what good sushi should taste like. Unfortunately, this sushi was flavorless and tasted mostly like plain rice. I even ordered the top-shelf rolls, but it still didn’t have much flavor. I will say the atmosphere and interior were good and felt authentic. I also noticed some positive reviews about the service, but our server didn’t ask any questions, didn’t repeat our order, and made us feel rushed.”
