“The Glen Iris Inn is an incredible place to stay while visiting Letchworth State Park! As the original estate of the park’s founder, it is enriched with historic significance and charm. The interior is as stunning and well preserved as the exterior. Includes a gift shop, high end restaurant, a library, as well as suite and standard room accommodations. Located feet from the middle (and biggest) falls allows for easy access and beautiful views at all times of day. The Upper Falls is also just a mere short walk from the Inn as the estate is located on the Gorge Trail. The hotel provides outdoor seating and Adirondack chairs within view of the falls. All of the staff we encountered were very kind, agreeable, and knowledgeable. They were able to give us accurate information about hikes, trails, and restaurants outside of the park. Guests should keep in mind that the property is a historic landmark converted to a hotel. Therefore there are inherent challenges that could arise, unlike modern accommodations. Please understand that there may be limitations that are out of the staff’s control. During our stay we had an issue with the AC unit in our suite. The Front desk clerk, Alicia was very understanding and helpful, giving us several options for other accommodations between their lodges and open single rooms. Although we decided to just stay in our original suite, Alicia was considerate and obliging throughout the whole process. It is truly a privilege to spend time at Glen Iris! It is such a timeless gem within an already beautiful state park. Would absolutely recommend to any nature/history lovers looking for a covenant and immersive stay!”

“During our recent trip to the U.S., my spouse and I visited Letchworth State Park and dined at Caroline's at Glen Iris Inn. We received professional and warm service—a level of hospitality we rarely encounter during our travels across America. The menu variety, flavor, and presentation were wonderful. As for the location, there is really only one word to describe it: "Magnificent." We would also like to extend a special thank you to Devin, who took excellent care of us during our meal.”

“This was an 80th Birthday party on a private room. The service was excellent. Water glasses filled, food was served attractively and in a timely manner. My food selection was a turkey club sandwich. It was jammed pack with turkey on delicious sour dough bread. I Surely would recommend friebds and family to try.”

“This is an absolutely stunning location!!! I had no idea there was such a beautiful hotel with an absolutely stunning waterfall! The views from this hotel and restaurant are unparalleled. We came here for dinner after my father's celebration of life and I was so impressed with our experience. We had a large group, so they gave us a private dining room with two servers. They managed and served our group with professionalism and promptness. The menu had a ton of comfort food options and daily specials. I think we tried just about everything and we all raved about how delicious the food was! The winners for me were the fried green tomatoes and man I don't know what they put in it but they had this black pepper aioli that they need to bottle up and sell! Seriously, this aioli was magic and I want to eat it on everything! The place offers outdoor and indoor dining and has a quiet reception with a lively gift shop. Main disappointment was that the bathrooms were like a dirty old middle school. They are pretty gross and need to be renovated to match the beauty of the rest of the property.”

“We stayed in the Pine efficiency rooms, separate from the Inn itself. Lovely setting with very clean rooms, in close proximity to the dining room/Inn and walkways along the gorge. A shared firepit was provided, though with no kindling, firewood or means of igniting. I'm not sure how you're supposed to use this when transporting firewood is discouraged or prohibited at most NYS parks. The A/C was set to 64 upon arrival - way too cold. After adjusting the room was comfortable. Although it's obvious you're paying for the location, we felt the room was overpriced. at $190 for a weeknight, 125-150 would have been more in line with the type of accommodations, especially without breakfast provided. The park itself is of course always clean and very well maintained, which always makes a trip there enjoyable.”
