We are now back open for dine in and patio seating. Masks/vaccination cards are no longer required to enter/dine-in the shop or on the patio! The Hoosier Mama Pie Company is a new artisanal bakery striving to be a great “old” pie company. We make our pies by hand with the best ingredients we can find. It's that great piece of diner pie you’ve never had. Just a reminder that we need 48 hours for any adjustments and cancellations
“Savory, sweet, drinks… I’ve loved everything I’ve gotten there. Nothing has ever disappointed me. The strawberry muffins legit changed my life. I’m not even exaggerating. It was a bite of heaven. I called my husband after I took my first bite to let him know it was the best thing ever! They were perfect, they were seasonal, and I think about them once a week. 🥹 I love how bustling it is! Great neighborhood spot. I know it’s not pie so it may not fit the scope but as a cheesecake lover I’d love to see a cheesecake bar or something of that nature 🤗”
“Ordered the Hoosier Sugar Pie I believe it’s called - it was phenomenal. Intensely rich brown butter flavor with an almost gelato consistency. So so good. The decor of the shop is also super cute vintage themed.”
“Went for the first time because a friend says they’re obsessed with the place, got a whole Passionfruit Meringue Pie to share with family and it was SO GOOD, tart and sweet and really pretty. The staff were friendly, gave recs when I said it was my first time and I wanted to get something for my family to share. The vibes were so cute too. Will definitely be back!!”
“The cutest pie/bakery shop on Chicago Ave, just stumbled on it walking by and had to go in!! Got a slice of their apple/cherry and it was yummy. Just a the cutest place, super friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.”
“Hoosier Mama is genuinely one of my favorite spots — the Frankenstein pie option is such a fun dessert for parties and hostess gifts, and the quality is always there. So it truly pains me to leave anything less than glowing. I placed a pickup order for a large quiche and a small pie, paid through Tock with a confirmed text and email reminder. When I arrived, they couldn't locate my order slip and asked for my receipt. It was a really busy morning, and after waiting in line for a bit while they sorted it out, I ended up holding up a line of about 6 people — not a great feeling. I went ahead and grabbed a few extra items at the counter to make the wait feel worthwhile. That's when it got really frustrating: only after I'd already paid my additional bill did they come back to let me know that neither of my original items were available and my order had somehow been missed entirely. The whole point of a pickup order is convenience, and this experience was the opposite. A quicker response and a heads-up before I bought more would have gone a long way. They offered to upgrade my small pie to a large as a courtesy, which I appreciated and felt like a reasonable solution, but I had gone out of my way to grab this order en route to a Mother's Day brunch, and I really just wanted what I paid for. I still love this place and will be back for more (because they have awesome food), but this one was a bit frustrating. Hoping it's a one-off.”
