Since 1879, Gustave Niebaum's legacy thrives at Inglenook, upheld by the Coppola family's devoted stewardship. Inglenook's wines—crafted with artistry and respect for the land—echo over a century of winemaking prestige.
“My son Steve is a club member and set up a wonderful wine tasting for us. The drive up to Inglenook is impressive. Fountains, pools, vineyards, and old buildings set an impressive tone for the tasting. We were greeted quickly and sat for our tasting. We learned about the history of Inglewood and the Coppola Family. Greet story!! The Coppola’s have restored Inglewood back to its original glory. Well Done!!”
“My fiancé and I just got engaged at Inglenook. The wine was incredible! Thank you for making it an unforgettable weekend, Kim. Kim did our wine tasting for us and gave us a tour of the beautiful property. This chateau is definitely one you want to visit. Request Kim. She’s great, enthusiastic and all around a great tour guide. Thank you Inglenook, you will forever be a part of our lives!”
“A Napa Valley Landmark with Enduring Legacy Inglenook is not just a winery—it’s a cornerstone of Napa Valley’s operating history and a masterclass in long-term vision. Walking the property, you immediately sense the strategic importance this estate has played in shaping the valley’s global reputation. The historical throughline is anchored by John Daniel Jr., one of the valley’s original winemakers and a true pioneer whose disciplined, terroir-driven approach set an early quality benchmark for Napa. His influence is still embedded in the DNA of the estate, from vineyard philosophy to cellar mindset. Today, under the stewardship of Francis Ford Coppola, Inglenook has executed a rare feat: restoring legacy without commoditizing it. The Coppola vision respects provenance, protects architectural and agricultural integrity, and reinvests in the long game—positioning Inglenook as both a living museum and a fully relevant modern producer. From its historic Rutherford benchland setting to its uncompromising commitment to authenticity, Inglenook stands as a case study in brand equity done right. This is Napa Valley history, thoughtfully preserved and strategically future-proofed.”
“Absolutely beautiful and historic winery! Inglenook is well known for its reds, and they absolutely lived up to the reputation, but we were also pleasantly surprised by how excellent the whites were. We did the Heritage Tasting today and loved it so much that we ended up taking home a few bottles. Our sommelier, Tina, really made the experience special. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared the history and winemaking details in a way that felt engaging and approachable. She was also so kind and attentive, and our conversation with her added a personal and memorable touch to the tasting. Such a wonderful experience overall, and we will definitely be back to try more tastings in the future.”
“If you’re only going to visit ONE winery / vineyard in Napa, THIS is the one you must must must visit. My friend and I walked in to visit and let me tell you, even from the drive up the long driveway lined on each side by trees, it is the most scenic, picturesque estate. Simply stunning. We had no reservation but they were able to accommodate us immediately (likely helped that it was a weekday) Laura guided us through the tasting and went truly above and beyond with us. She gauged that we were very interested in the history of the property so gave us a tour, showed us other tasting rooms, and indulged our many questions over the course of — what turned into several hours we spent at Inglenook! I will be stopping here every time I visit Napa and recommending it to all. Not only is the estate beautiful, but when you have staff like Laura — so knowledgeable, passionate about what they do, and easy to talk to, engaging, and warmly hospitable (remember we had no reservation and she stayed with us for hours!) you have a WINNING destination. Can’t wait to go back.”
