Milwaukee’s own lakefront brewery started in 1987. Since then, the industrious and inventive craft brewery located on the Milwaukee river has become a city landmark and a point of pride for locals.
“We LOVED this place. Great customer service. The beer selection was phenomenal. I would highly recommend doing a tour. The tour guide was super funny. With the tour we got 4 beer tokens. At the end of the tour we were able to trade in our wrist bands for two of their beer glasses. They brought us a pretzel with cheese and spicy mustard and probably some of the best fried cheese curds I've ever had.....for free! We highly recommend this place!”
“#refinedexploring YouTube I had the pleasure of taking a beer tour at Lakefront Brewery a few years ago, and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, making the tour both informative and fun. The brewery itself has such a great atmosphere. It was charming, lively, and full of character. Of course, the beer was amazing, and the variety they offer is impressive. I loved learning about their brewing process and the history behind Lakefront. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or just looking for a great time in Milwaukee, this brewery is a must-visit.”
“Local historic gem with good food. We just happened to stop over here during their Die Hard Christmas movie event and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We ordered cheese curds Cobb salad and pot roast poutine all of which were really good. The cheese curds are probably the best in the state, and I don't say that lately. The poutine was a bit cold but sent it back to reheat and it was perfect after that. They also do tours here which are entertaining and facilitated by very talented staff. How can I forget about the beers... They have an extensive tap beer list to satisfy any beer lovers desires, and also have a full bar. Everything was reasonably priced and overall a great experience.”
“We visit this place almost every year, and it never disappoints. The location right along the river offers fantastic views and a great atmosphere. The brewery tour is very interesting, showing how beer and other alcoholic beverages are made, with plenty of opportunities for tasting. We've been here several times while visiting Milwaukee. The riverfront setting is beautiful, and they offer a large selection of beers and drinks. The food is good, although it can be a little overpriced. Most menu items are snacks or quick bar-style dishes. Overall, it's a fun place for adults to relax, enjoy great drinks, and spend time with friends.”
“Not my favorite stop on a recent long weekend trip to hit breweries. The space is a large high ceiling industrial building converted to a beer hall setup with a couple dozen 8 top tables. There is no bar seating. As a solo traveler I prefer bar seating so that is worth noting. For the tap list, I think everything was just beers they offer for retail distribution. I wish they had more pub only offerings. I didn’t have any food. They do have outdoor seating, both rail seating on the river and a small amount of seating on a 2nd floor balcony. Finally, I came on a day in mid-April that was unseasonably warm. The beer hall was quite warm. I don’t know if they have AC or maybe it just wasn’t on yesterday this early in the year.”
