We are excited to welcome you to join us! Located on the Old World Third Street stretch of Dr. MLK Jr. Drive, Copper is a sports bar and restaurant housed in one of Milwaukee's oldest and most historic buildings. Online reservations are for tables in our dining room, bar area, and patio (seasonally.) Bar seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“We had a group from out of town visiting. Took them to brunch and it did not disappoint! I got the Two Eggs Classic. Perfect for a simple breakfast. Samples some of the other bites and I thought they were all really solid. I’m also not a huge fan of French Onion Soup but this one really hit! Would recommend for big groups. Just make a reservation ahead of time.”
“We stumbled upon Copper on King while looking for a bite to eat before a Milwaukee Admirals game and the Justin Timberlake concert. The bars we initially tried were packed with no open tables, but luckily, this spot had seating available. We had no idea what to expect, but the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately made us feel like we had made the right choice. The restaurant features a long, narrow bar with seating to the right and beautiful copper accents throughout—giving it a sleek yet cozy vibe. Our server, Selina, was absolutely fantastic! She took the time to walk us through the menu, making great recommendations along the way. Without a doubt, the Bee Sting appetizer is a must-try—the combination of feta cheese, hot honey, pistachios, and those perfectly seasoned cauliflower toast points had us craving more all night long! For our main dish, we ordered wings, and Selina suggested doing a dry rub with sauces on the side so we could try multiple flavors. We went with four different sauces, which made for a fun experience—especially for the kids! The wings were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served piping hot. On top of that, the service was extremely fast—we barely had time to chat before our appetizers and meals arrived. If you’re in the area and need a great place to grab a bite before an event, Copper on King is a fantastic choice. Amazing service, delicious food, and a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere—this place is definitely worth a visit!”
“Copper Bar has a really nice vibe overall and I enjoyed my time there. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was a big highlight. That said, I’d probably give the food closer to 3 stars mainly because of the pricing. The cauliflower wings were $17, and the portion was honestly pretty small for what you’re paying. It didn’t feel like a great value. On the other hand, the bartender Colin was excellent. Super respectful, personable, and he really helped create a great atmosphere. He made the experience much better with his energy and customer service. Overall, I’d come back for drinks and the vibe, but I hope the food portions and pricing improve.”
“Nice tavern/restaurant and a good place to grab a bite + drinks before a show. The staff is friendly and accommodating (especially when we needed GF fixes) and the atmosphere is inviting. They unfortunately stopped carrying their THC beverages. But their beer selection is great.”
“I think if you read through the majority of the reviews here, it’s pretty consistent with my experience. The poutine seems like the dish to order, but I can’t comment more than that because we didn’t get that. I got the salad pictured. It was just ok. The French onion soup was good; my daughter’s chicken sandwich was prepared well but she didn’t love the sauce on it. The fries that came with it were terrible. Like “surprised that they would serve them” bad. You could tell just by the way they looked.”
