“This place is so much fun!! The food was good too. Lots of cool Hawaiian drinks that you dont find anywhere else. Take time to walk around some very intetesting pieces of art. It can be a little pricey with drinks but its worth it!!”

“It may seem dark because of the dimly lit interior, but it adds to the character of the place and is a really fun hangout in GR. We went on a Monday in the last week of Lent before Easter, so it was relatively quiet. The collection of Polynesian figurines is most impressive as is the giant fish tank on the upper floor and the lovely bar staff. Absolutely a must visit.”

“We’ve been to Max’s many times! We’ve never had less than a 5 star experience. The atmosphere is so fun. The food and cocktails are always exceptional. Our kids even enjoy coming here. There are great options for non-alcoholic cocktails for kids that are still served in fun glasses. We’ve tried all of the sushi and they’re all great. The smoked wings are crispy and flavorful and the crab rangoons are outstanding. The chicken satay and spring rolls are also a win. All of the entrees are great. My favorites might be the drunken noodles and bulgogi beef. However, the ramen, the hideaway burger and the tacos are also so good. I highly recommend making a reservation because they fill up quick and it’s not a place you can decide to go last minute. Plan ahead and definitely give this place a try!”

“This place is a true hidden gem in Grand Rapids. I have to start by complimenting the server, Marian. She was beyond exceptional. She was personable, polite, friendly, and informative. She made excellence suggestions, and was very attentive. The decor of the place was amazing. It was clean and cozy. I don’t remember what our drink was called, but it was great. We had the pu pu platter. The crab rangoon was exceptional, the ribs were good, the spring rolls and wings were cool. The culinary highlight was definitely the bread pudding, it was out of this world. I was visiting from Toronto and my friend was visiting from Jamaica . I will definitely be coming back to this spot and trying out the different dishes that they have. All in all I wish I could give this place more than five stars, and that would be because of the outstanding service.”
