“Up there for my favourite brunch in Vancouver so far. Classic but hearty dishes done very well, and a great variety of dishes. I'd have liked to try more than half the menu! Enjoyed the Merguez sausage as a side dish the most. Friendly service, although they did make a mistake with our order. Also took 75 mins for us to get a table (which we were warned about, so wasn't a big deal), so bear that in mind if you're planning to get a table on a weekend!”
“If you have never been, don't! They are too good to share. The food was so amazing. The service was warm and genuine. And the atmosphere had just enough kitsch without being cliche. Our table had the salmon fume, fricassee, and les boulettes, along with some wonderful lattes. We tried thier liege waffles and yes, the are worth the hype and need no toppings. Would I come back here? 100% yes!”
“We always have such a great experience at Coffee Medina. The entire team is incredibly kind and welcoming and it’s honestly my go to spot whenever I have guests visiting because I know they’ll never disappoint. Today, Noel took care of us and was absolutely amazing!!! so attentive, friendly and thoughtful throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed everything and really appreciate the effort the team puts into making every experience special. The coffees are amazing, the waffles are so good and don’t forget to try the Wolves Breakfast 😮💨 definitely one of our favorites! We had to wait a bit for a table but it was absolutely worth it. One small tip: if you prefer your coffee hot, just order it extra hot, since I personally found it not hot enough during my first few visits. Big thanks to the whole team for consistently making every visit such a great experience! (videos are from different visits since I didn’t take any today 😂)”
“Cafe Medina is such a cozy and lively spot. We came for lunch as a group of four and waited about 30 minutes, which gave us confidence the food would be good. The dim lighting on a rainy day made the space feel extra inviting and everything looked very clean. We ordered the Belgian waffle with milk chocolate lavender, fricassée, Tagine, Paella, and a Lavender Latte and Chai Latte. Every dish was delicious. The fricassée was the highlight and the waffle had the strongest lavender flavor I have ever tasted. They make their sauces in house and you can really tell. The sunny side up eggs were perfect and showed real skill. Portions were just right and everything tasted fresh. Service was great and the staff checked on us often. It can get loud and space is tight so strollers might be tricky, but overall this is one of the best breakfast and lunch spots I have visited. I would happily return every time I am in Vancouver.”
“This place is busy all the time! It doesn’t matter whether you have a reservation or not — you still need to wait at least 10–15 minutes. Without a booking, the wait is around 45 minutes. The food was really delicious. The paella was a bit spicy for me, but maybe that’s just my personal taste. The white wine was excellent! We were also surprised that this café has 3 Michelin stars. I really liked the service — they kept apologizing for the wait, which was very kind of them. However, we paid $20 for our reservation.”
