“This was my wife's and my first time visiting Oak House and I'm glad that we decided to go. Everything was great and the service was even better. My wife had the Salmon Oscar and I had the Ribeye with scallop potatoes, and it was delicious (the waiter will try to convince you to add the bbq shrimp and sauce to your steak, BY ALL MEANS, DO NOT FIGHT HIM ON THIS, LISTEN TO HIM, HE IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! IT WAS AMAZING!) We tried the fried green tomatoes, crab stuffed mushrooms, and crab cake. I saw every review talking about the crab cake and I see why because it was delicious, BUT.... The damn crab stuffed mushrooms was a hit! They are a must try. We will defiently be back.”

“My lovely date and I chose this place 2 weeks in advance for a date night. We were not disappointed in the least. Tremendous experience from start to finish. Arrived just a bit ahead of our 6pm reservation but the table was ready. We started with a cocktail from their signature list. The Pecan Old Fashioned was among the best I've had. Bread service and Fried Green Tomatoes followed and both were perfect. Red Snapper and Bronzed Redfish for the main course and we split both, passing the plates back and forth. Excellent seasoning and presentation. I could not decide which was better. Dessert of Bread Pudding and Carrot Cake were incredible. Service was excellent and included a brief visit from one of the partners. We left full and very happy. Well done!”

“Best restaurant experience we’ve had in Birmingham. The vibe is great, not too loud but a lively feel. Our waiter Tristan was phenomenal. Even though it was clearly a busy night, he took the time to walk us through the menu and give us numerous suggestions based off of what we said we liked. All of his suggestions were spot on from the wine to the Cajun ribeye. My husband was very pleased with his old fashioned as well. We will definitely be back!”

“It was our first time eating there tonight for my boyfriend’s birthday! Our server , Gabe, was phenomenal. The food was superb. And the rest of the staff was so polite. There isn’t a lot of seating, but I love that personally. It matches the atmosphere of the restaurant and allows the servers to be very attentive. 10/10 experience! OH and their bread service??? ONE IN A MILLION. Definitely one of my top restaurants for a nicer eat.”

“Went for a birthday dinner, and man everything on the menu looked amazing. Food was fantastic… definitely will be returning for date night! Small restaurant with a great atmosphere and not overly crowded. Service was awesome. We had the blood orange thing cocktail, fried green tomatoes, Cesar salad, salmon Oscar, Mac and cheese, filet Cajun blue with scallop potatoes.”
