Peche. Restaurant’s culinary focus is to allow creativity to flourish. We will not hold ourselves back by restraints of cuisine, instead we will embrace the adventure and education. What sets Pêche. Restaurant apart from so many others is our commitment to our staff’s well being, both inside and outside of the restaurant’s walls. It is our goal to provide an environment free from the normal restaurant culture. We will act as one uniform team with one common mission: service the guests. Outside of the restaurant we will continually push our staff to take advantage of what surrounds us - hike, ride, fish, camp, run, read, learn, energize, and enjoy the beauty!
“Pêche is an incredible restaurant! We went there for a special meal, and had a great experience. Each dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared and was delicious. We enjoyed seeing the food and drinks being prepared, and liked the creativity and quality of our meal. I highly recommend going if you have an occasion to celebrate, or if you just want to enjoy a meal with a strong focus on the food!”
“After living in the Grand Valley for over 8 years now, I finally made my way into Peche to enjoy a fine meal. I couldn't have been more impressed. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartenders and kitchen work on creating delicious dishes and fine cocktails. While certainly on the pricey side of things, when compared to other options in the Grand Valley, I thought the pricing was reasonable, especially given the generous portions. I highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan; quite frankly the best I've ever had. Served deconstructed it was an enjoyable way to eat it as I was able to construct every bite with the perfect amount of sauce, which kept the breading on the chicken crispy throughout the entire meal. We finished the meal with Creme Brulé, which was served to us and then finished with a cast iron "brand," if you will, that warmed and crystalized the top layer perfectly. It was a unique experience and I only kick myself for not eating here sooner!”
“This is the most professional establishment in the Grand Valley and possibly the entire west slope. We sat at the kitchen bar, and I was amazed at the training that the chefs here have clearly received. I have 15 years experience in fine dining mostly in CA, and the young kitchen staff had the same urgency, focus, and dance of any of the best restaurants thay I've been to or worked at. The food was outstanding - an eclectic menu, to be sure, but for me personally that makes it fun. The atmosphere was a good balance of buzzy and bustling, noisy but not too loud. As a former pastry chef, perhaps the biggest deal for me was that the desserts delivered. I am almost always disappointed by the desserts at restaurants, even fancy ones, but not here! The fall creme brulee was subtle and divine. Some finer points: It's pricey, but in this case, food-wise you do get what you pay for. Portions are not skimpy and the balance of flavors in each dish we had were spot on. My husband and I didn’t love that you're expected to order everything at the beginning - you get one chance to order. We felt a little bit rushed...granted, we were there for 2.5 hours but would have appreciated 3 to really savor and enjoy. For the price we paid, I would have liked more control over this aspect of the meal. I was disappointed with our server's lack of knowledge about the wines on the menu. We like to pair wine with each course, but a good amount of knowledge is needed to do so well. She did let us have tastes of a couple wines so we could decide, but the servers here should be regularly tasting every single wine on the menu so they know what to recommend. All of that said, what a delightful experience for our anniversary, and you should definitely order the steamed pork buns!”
“We recently dined at Peche and overall had a great experience. We sat at the chefs counter and Grant was a pleasure to talk with. We ordered the pea and the foie gras appetizers (definitely highlights of the meal!), the steak for the main, and peach crisp for dessert. All of the food was exceptional (except the frites that accompanied the steak were a bit average / greasy). Our main issue had to do with the lack of knowledge our server had when asked basic questions about the menu. If you’re going to have a cocktail menu with no descriptions, all of the servers should be able to accurately describe the drinks. Instead we were met with an “I don’t know, I’m new.” She also didn’t make any effort to find someone who could answer our questions. That being said, after some Google searches to figure out what the drinks may be, we ordered some cocktails and they were spectacular - great tasting, presented beautifully, and worth the price. It definitely just felt like a bit of let down after hearing how amazing the service is here. We certainly look forward to coming back to Peche in the future, but hope training of servers is taken into account more seriously.”
“Food: Nice presentation & great flavor, however every dish was too salty. You can definitely tell the mushroom pasta is hand rolled 😅 The unevenness adds some charm, but it was a bit too lumpy, and negatively impacted the texture of the pasta overall. Would recommend the apple soufflé. Service: service is a bit slow at times, but I don’t mind it. Everyone was polite and kind. What really stumped me, was the takeout. I pointed specifically to the leftover lamb chop and asked to take it home so my cat can have it. They packaged the two completely stripped to the bone chops and left out the one chop that was half eaten… why..? Sadly, I didn’t notice till I got home. Honestly flabbergasting to a point of hilarity. Never had something like this happen (see photo). Quite disappointing. We had to pry off some bits off of the eaten chops for Oliver. Though I will say, he did enjoy his 3 morsels very throughly (licking his lips for 10 minutes) Ambiance: Open kitchen concept is cool. Decor is a bit janky, and the creme brulee branding kept making a lot of smoke, which is a nice visual effect, but smokes up the whole place since it’s a cozy space. Overall: I wouldn’t recommend, but I also wouldn’t deter others from wanting to try them out. Note: they impose a 3% credit card surcharge which is not noted on the menu or by staff when collecting the check.”
