“What an outstanding dinner. I was welcomed at the door with a happy birthday as it was noted on my reservation. Got a delicious "Fashion Forward" cocktail. Many steakhouse bring out their butter frozen which is terrible, here it is warm and creamy and goes great with the bread. Only note I'll have is on the lobster dumplings. You're going to be paying a lot for a Lil, it's go great flavor and if you're looking for something pretty, go for it. But honestly their sides are massive and it's even say their much cheaper side of hash browns which is essentially a deep dish pizza hashbrowns cut into 4 pieces is a better appetizer deal. But either way. It's all about the main event, the steak. I ordered the Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly with delicious flavor and was definitely worth it. They didn't offer any bday treat or anything which is fine because I was stuffed but I do know some parties ask about stuff like that”

“Dinner at Abe & Louie’s absolutely lived up to the hype. The steak was cooked perfectly with an incredible char and flavor, and every side dish felt like it could’ve been the star of the meal on its own. The hash browns were unreal, the mac and cheese was rich and crispy on top, and the green beans were simple but done perfectly. The oysters Rockefeller and French onion soup were also standout starters. The whole experience felt classic Boston steakhouse in the best way possible. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a meal that felt worth every calorie. Easily one of the best steak dinners we’ve had in the city.”

“Abe and Louie’s is the best meal in Boston! We came here for my daughter’s college graduation and I only wish we found it years ago as it would have been a must-do for every visit. Each item was amazing, prepared perfectly, and the presentation was beautiful. Our server was exceptionally helpful and friendly, preventing us from over-ordering sides and guiding us to the best items. They brought out gluten free bread and a gluten free dessert for my daughter as soon as they heard she was gluten free, without us having to ask. Definitely make a trip here and you will not be disappointed.”

Sides and accompaniments are handled with the same discipline, giving the plate balance rather than excess, and the seasoning is confident without overwhelming the natural flavor of the meat. Even small details, like the serving temperature and the measured timing between courses, signal a kitchen and floor team that are paying attention. Service is polished, efficient, and professional, and the room has the right balance of energy and comfort for either a serious dinner or a celebratory night out. Reserve ahead, and an earlier dinner slot is the best move if you want the room lively but not too crowded.”

“My friend and I visited here in March 2024 for lunch and the initial intention was to order items from the restaurant week menu, but for some reason we weren't able to do so. We ended up ordering from the regular lunch and brunch menus, and our experience at the restaurant was still very good. The free bread with butter was very tasty, especially the type with darker colors, which I believe was rye bread. We ordered two types of cocktails, one called Poppin' Bottles and one called My Cherry Amour, and both of them had fruity flavors. They were mixed very well and my friend and I enjoyed the start of our experience very much as a result of the bread and drinks. I ordered the shaved beef hash and I thought the portion size relative to the price was very worth it because I was given a good amount of beef, potatoes, poached eggs, and muffin bread, all of which were filling enough for me to become full after the dish. My friend ordered the lobster club and in general had positive feedback about it without a reaction indicating that it was spectacular. Both the sandwiches and the tuna tartare were on the pricier end. Finally we had the vanilla crème brûlée, and since I cook this dessert at home, I thought it was okay because the vanilla flavor was only minimally infused into the mixture. Regardless, it was a good experience and I felt honored that I had the chance to visit a fancy restaurant like this in Boston. I am aware that the establishment has won some type of steakhouse award in Massachusetts from 2015 to 2017, so I would fully expect visitors to get steak here.”
