“Absolute favorite spot for brunch on any weekend. For me, Vlaha feels like visiting my grandparents home and having the most delicious food and drink. The cultivation of flavors is incredible, the staff are humble and sweet, the attention to detail in the restaurant decor and all elements of dining are incredible. A staple in my heart forever. Pump the Brikkis and Patates make the most perfect pair.”
“First visit here, drove from Connecticut and was blown away. The food was amazing and authentically perfectly prepared. The silverware and plates were adorable and perfectly fit the rustic vibe. The whole place was put together with thought and care. Our server was helpful with my wine selection and pronunciation questions since the names were Greek and many letters long, had zero chance pronouncing anything correctly. Highly recommend if you're in the area.”
“I went here with my fiancé to celebrate our engagement. And the food was sooooooo good. It was something I have never eaten before. And the drinks were great too. I definitely recommend this amazing place. Shoutout to our server that was so polite and friendly with us.”
“Highly recommend! Totally worth all the calorie intake! The food is really good, service is great too. Even silverware and stoneware are very curated. We were literarily saying that this place should totally be in Michelin guide, and it actually is! So glad we tried this. Thank you for making such amazing, creative, bold-flavored but still well-balanced, delicious, (plus a million positive adjectives) food! Oh, also the portion is big. We had too much that we walked for more than an hour on beacon street. Thanks for that :p”
“Exceptional food! Bar Vlaha serves elevated takes on authentic Greek food made with top quality ingredients. All in an inviting, cozy setting and orchestrated by kind and friendly staff. Craving Greek food after returning from Greece a few months ago, I was recommended to try Bar Vlaha and it was a pleasant surprise all around. I went during their weekend brunch menu hours and tried the spanakopita, sweet feta pastry, mushroom toast, baked eggplant dish, and the cheese pie dessert. Everything was delicious! The spanakopita was by far the best we’ve had. Service was extremely friendly and definitely a highlight. Our waiter was hilarious and shared great recommendations. My one frustration was that prices felt too high for the small portions of dishes like the spanakopita. But generally it’s on par price-wise with any other nice spot in Boston and the food is better than in most. Will definitely be returning!”
