“We are visiting Denver and had an absolutely wonderful experience at Izakaya Den! We sat at the sushi bar and really enjoyed the interaction with the knowledgeable chefs with placing our orders. My partner and I shared an order of 7 different nigiri (in photos (3): Aji, Sawara, Mikan Tai; (4): Aburi Kinmedai, New Zeland King Salmon (smoked), Aburi Toro, and Tako). We also shared a rainbow roll. Our favorites were the Smoked Salmon and the Aburi Toro. Each of the Nigiri were garnished beautifully with different flavors to complement the flavor of the fish. Some garnishes were quite strong, (e.g. some with heavy wasabi, the mandarin zest on the Mikan Tai), so perhaps ask if that isnt the experience you are after. The rainbow roll was pretty standard -- not the most flavorful but was a good value to add to the nigri. We finished off with their seasonal pineapple upsidedown cake which was delightful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when visiting again!”

“Wow! My fifth time and it just keeps getting better and better. Server Sam was top notch. Patrick the manager gave us VIP service. Hostess team too. Party of 5 had 2 apps. 2 Watsu Rolls, 2 New Salmon Rolls and 2 banana cream pie desserts, plus 6 Nigiri pairs and 3 other rolls. Perfect. Thanks Team Den. I’m in awe!”

“Attentive staff, fresh and flavorful food, overall a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is unique, spacious, and upscale. “It's been a few days since I ate here with my boyfriend and we're still talking about our experience. Our server, Jordan, was phenomenal and super knowledgeable. He gave us amazing recommendations including the New Style Salmon Roll, Hamachi Jalapeno Sashimi, Mikan Hamachi, and Aburi Toro. We were even unsure of what we wanted and he gave us a complimentary BF toro. Every single thing we ate blew us away... we were left speechless. Our Lychee Margaritas were unbelievably good as well. Jordan even included a free dessert at the end of two different kinds of mochi. I will be returning every time I'm in the area. I would even go out of my way to make a stop here. 10/10”

“This place completely surprised me. It’s a very traditional Japanese spot and apparently pretty well known in Denver. They actually have another restaurant right next door with a different name, same owner, same exact menu — feels like one is just a newer version of the other. Honestly, it’s one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to. The food is extremely well done and very generous. The fish tastes super fresh, everything is flavorful and clearly prepared with care. You can see the sushi chefs working in real time, which is always a good sign. Service is great too. Prices aren’t cheap, but they’re far from crazy — totally fair for the quality. The dishes are beautiful, well plated, and the flavors have little twists that make them stand out. I actually prefer it over Sushi Den, mainly because the atmosphere feels nicer and more comfortable. Could be the day I went or the table I got, but overall it was an excellent experience. Definitely going back.”
