“We had an excellent experience at DiMaggio's Italian Restaurant! Brandon, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing meal. The waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable—they took the time to explain the menu and recommend dishes, which made our dining experience even better. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Italian food and exceptional hospitality.”
“DiMaggio’s delivered a wonderful Italian dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, with crisp white tablecloths, candlelight, and the kind of old-school charm that makes you want to sit back, enjoy a glass of wine, and savor every course. We started with the fresh mozzarella appetizer, which was beautifully presented and incredibly creamy, paired with bright basil pesto, fresh tomatoes, and a touch of olive oil that let the quality of the ingredients shine. The entrées were equally impressive. The chicken parmesan was a generous portion with perfectly cooked pasta, rich marinara sauce, a blanket of melted cheese, and a finishing touch of freshly grated parmesan. The seafood special was outstanding — grilled shrimp over a creamy, perfectly cooked risotto with a delicate garlic butter sauce and fresh broccolini. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The service was good. Be prepared meal to take over 2.5 hours. DiMaggio’s is a great choice for date night, celebrations, or anyone craving classic Italian dishes made with care.”
“We came to DiMaggios to celebrate my birthday with a party of 4 and this is easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Phoenix. This restaurant is very intimate and full of many authentic Italian dishes. There is no bad dish here, but my absolute favorites were the meatball for appetizer and barolo short rib pasta for entree. One of the only downsides to this restaurant is that it’s smaller and not many tables compared to traditional restaurants, so the only way you’re going to eat here is getting a reservation which can sometimes require up to 1-2 weeks in advance depending on the weekend. If you’re lucky enough to get a resy here, then you’ll be extremely happy with your experience because it’s definitely worth it.”
“First time going to DiMaggio’s since they moved to a new location and I was blown away by the new spot! The ambiance is great and feels like the perfect spot to grab a meal with friends or family. Our server did a great job of explaining all of the dishes and helping us decide on what to order. My favorite dish was the Veal Parmesan, it was pounded very thin and cooked perfectly. The other special, Tortellini, was homemade with a delicious creamy Parmesan sauce. For starters, we loved the house mozzarella, some of the best fresh mozz I’ve had in Arizona! Can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.”
“We were so excited that we were able to get a table here! We have been wanting to come here for a few months and it finally happened!! We came for my wife's birthday and it was awesome!! The restaurant is pretty small so that's why they are always booked with reservations. All in all its a super nice restaurant and they keep it nice and clean! The service was awesome! Our server was Shawn and he did a pretty good job the only complaint with the service was that we never got our spinach with our meal. He apologized and offered to make it right but we were already full.... On to the food part of this review! We started off with the bread service and it was just ok.... I know! Pretty sad that it was just ok.... it should have been super good but it's sad to say that there are much cheaper Italian restaurants with MUCH better bread service! Next we had the mozzarella Caprese salad appetizer. Let me tell you!! This was almost the best Caprese I've ever had!! It was definitely a 10 out of 10!! Next we shared the veal parmesan.... Our server Shawn told us that this dish won some sort of "best dish in any restaurant in the valley award " so we had to try it!! It also looked like a lot of people were ordering it and we also read about this dish in the reviews.... There are positive and negative things to say about this dish that was supposed to be the best dish in the valley. To start off the flavor was good and the crispness of the parmesan was good but over all it was a lackluster dish! The temp was probably under 100 degrees and it definitely was NOT the best dish I've ever had.... Next we had a cannoli for desert. It was the small free one you get when it's your birthday and we were definitely not impressed! And we definitely didn't finish it. We aslo got a cheesecake to go and it was aslo not good! Way better cheesecake at almost all restaurants I've tried!!All in all we had a good time and enjoyed our time here. I just think they need to work on a few things.”
