“Second time this year to celebrate here. The stuffs are very kind and did a good job to serve us. Overall experience was good. But not sure what happened in the kitchen and we waited our second course for quite a long time, about 40~50mins. And the main courses temperature was not very correct, a bit cold which feels they have been waiting for a while. Another disappointing point was the napkin, which are old and over washed. Not sure why this level restaurant would keep these frayed edge napkins. That's really not to the standard. They need a better restaurant manager now. ----------------------- We came to celebrate my wife's birthday. Overall, we had a very pleasant dining experience. The restaurant offers a beautiful view overlooking the entire night view of Boulder, which really added to the atmosphere and made the evening special. For the meal, my wife and I chose different dishes so we could try a variety of flavors. In general, the flavor combinations and overall seasoning were well done. However, the desserts were somewhat disappointing. The Danish served as the first course did not have the expected flaky texture — it lacked crispness and tasted as though it had been prepared long before serving. The macarons in the petit dessert selection were also overly sweet. Overall, we find that American-style desserts tend to be sweeter than our personal preference. As for the main courses, the seasoning was nicely executed. That said, the pork dish used a cut that was quite fatty. Combined with my A5 Wagyu selection, the two rich dishes together felt a bit overwhelming and heavy. Unfortunately, the desserts that followed were not light or refreshing enough to balance the richness of the main courses, so the overall progression of the meal felt slightly unbalanced. Service, on the other hand, was excellent. The staff were attentive, proactive, and very courteous throughout the evening. There was just one small issue at the end: we were initially given the wrong bill, which appeared to belong to the table next to us. Fortunately, I reviewed it carefully and the mistake was quickly corrected. Despite the minor issues, it was overall a very enjoyable experience, especially thanks to the ambiance and service.”

“We went to Flagstaff House for my son’s college graduation, so it was a very special occasion for our family. That said, for the price, I expected the details to be handled more smoothly. I had requested champagne on the table for a toast and had to remind them. They were also supposed to have my son’s name printed on each menu, but that was forgotten. The explanation given was that we arrived early, although we were only about 15–20 minutes early and had planned to sit in the bar first. I also later realized that while the five-course prix fixe menu was $185 per person, there were supplemental charges for certain menu items. The wagyu had a $42 upcharge per plate, and the quail had a $12 upcharge. I understand those charges may have been listed in small print on the menu, but my focus that evening was on my son’s graduation and our family celebration — not on studying supplemental pricing. I only noticed the extra charges later when reviewing the receipt and then looking back at the menu. For a group celebration at this price point, I wish those additional costs had been made clearer upfront. The food was creative and visually interesting, but overall it was more adventurous than enjoyable for my personal taste. The courses were small, and several had a gamey flavor that did not appeal to me. Several courses were barely touched by others in our party as well, both men and women, so it was not just my personal preference. At night, the location should offer a beautiful view overlooking Boulder, but the glare from inside the restaurant made it difficult to actually see much out the windows. I can appreciate the artistry behind the menu and the beautiful location, but for such an expensive and meaningful celebration, I expected the food, service details, pricing clarity, and overall experience to feel more polished.”

“We came to celebrate my sister’s graduation and while the atmosphere and service were absolutely outstanding, the food was not. Two of us ended up getting sick. The menu was limited but our waiter did everything he could to make us comfortable and guide us through the experience. I ordered my steak medium rare and received in a little more cooked than I liked but honestly by the time the steak came and taking a bite I just couldn’t even be brave enough to finish any of the dishes. We arrived at 730 and left at about 1030. It was honestly so bad it will be a memory that lives in our family forever.”
