The first and only two Michelin star restaurant in Miami, and the only two Michelin star Joël Robuchon restaurant in the U.S., L'Atelier Miami of The Bastion Collection is the incarnation of the late Chef Joël Robuchon’s groundbreaking concept, staying true to the original Parisian roots while drawing inspiration from the surrounding city and location in the Miami Design District. L'Atelier’s name refers to a craftsman’s workshop, emphasizing Chef Robuchon’s hallmark of elevating the simplest of dishes into something extraordinary using pristine ingredients, immaculate technique and abundant creativity. The chef’s counter seating faces directly into the open kitchen, allowing for a dynamic interaction between the chefs and diners, and view into the creative process.
“L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami was a highlight of my trip! First, let me thank Giancarlo, Maria, & Mathieu as well as the entire team for an incredible evening! They helped make my birthday dinner extra special. Sit at the kitchen top to see all the action- the best seat in the house. And now for the food. I chose the Spring Tasting Menu and was able to try things I wouldn’t have otherwise. I chose Le Hamachi, Le Ris de Veau, La Canette, and Mango Caramel Millefeuille as my options and wouldn’t have changed any of the choices! I had foie gras and veal sweetbreads for the first time, and I’m a fan. My favorite dish was the duck which was cooked perfectly. The wines the sommelier recommended to the party next to me seemed great but I was happen with my cocktails! L’Atelier Miami is doing justice to Chef Robuchon’s name and reputation!”
“ALEXIS made our dinner UNFORGETTABLE! This was the BEST DINING EXPERIENCE we’ve ever had! Every dish was made to PERFECTION and our drinks were superb as well! The Chefs deserve a standing ovation and the servers, especially ALEXIS, ensured every moment was enjoyable for us! She even guided us through every detail on the menu and helped us choose our amazing dishes. THANK YOU!”
“I had a great experience at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon. The location in the Design District is excellent, and it’s currently the only two-Michelin-star restaurant in Miami, which definitely shows in the quality of the food. Sitting at the bar is the way to go. The entire space is built around one long counter, so you get a direct view of the kitchen and very attentive service throughout the meal. The staff was professional, efficient, and made the experience feel elevated without being overly formal. The only downside is that it can feel a bit crowded. There aren’t many tables or more private seating options, so if you’re looking for a fully intimate, quiet dining experience, this may not completely deliver on that front. That said, the food was incredible across the board. Every course was thoughtful, precise, and worth it. Surprisingly, the price didn’t feel excessive for a full tasting menu at this level. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back regularly.”
“My husband and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this evening and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and beautiful, and the attention to detail was exceptional. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was artistic and melted in our mouths. Sitting at the bar was a special experience, watching the team work with such passion and care. A special thank you to Marina and Giancarlo, who went above and beyond explaining the menu and making wonderful recommendations. Their warmth and conversation made the evening even more memorable. They went above and beyond! This was by far one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. We will absolutely be back.”
“Went for lunch and opted for the Evolution prix-fixe menu with upgrades, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The standout for me was the hamachi with caviar upgrade — absolutely spectacular and easily one of my favorite bites of the entire meal. Elegant, balanced, and indulgent without being heavy. The wagyu beef was excellent, though by the time it arrived I was already quite full after adding an additional appetizer. Even so, it was beautifully prepared and met the standard one expects here. I tried the langoustine, which was perfectly executed with a delicate tempura-style breading — light, crisp, and refined, very much in line with top-tier Japanese technique. I don’t usually gravitate toward fried dishes, but this was flawless. Service truly elevated the experience. Oriana, my server, struck the perfect balance between polished professionalism and warm, engaging conversation. She was attentive not just to me but to her other clients, knowledgeable about menu changes, and thoughtful in her upselling — subtle, informed, and never pushy. She also shared insight into the Design District, mentioned that lunch service would extend into Sunday, and gave a helpful sense of when the winter menu would transition into spring. The dishes were curated with precision and artistry, exactly what one expects from a Michelin-rated restaurant. Dessert arrived when I was already full, but the tart apple paired with caramel was too well-composed not to taste — refined and restrained rather than overly sweet. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, the staff elite and genuinely hospitable, and the location in the Miami Design District is beautiful. It was also refreshing to hear that the clientele isn’t just tourists — many locals frequent this restaurant, and it’s easy to understand why. A true treat and a standout lunch experience. I’ll absolutely return.”
