“My boyfriend surprised me with a reservation at Orange Hill for my birthday! I had a wonderful time. Our reservation was conveniently made through the OpenTable app. Parking is valet. We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7:15pm. The restaurant is gorgeous and sits on a hill overlooking the city of Orange. During the summer, there is a breathtaking view of the sunset right at dinnertime. Our server was Ailyn, who was such a sweetheart. She took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to provide us excellent service. Complimentary cornbread is provided, served with a drizzle of honey, Himalayan sea salt, and a cayenne infused butter. The butter is so good and really makes the cornbread shine. I had the “Paid Vacation” cocktail, served in a glass ball swinging on a crescent moon shaped hanger. Everything about this drink from its presentation to its flavors was loud, fun, and summery. You are given a Szechuan flower to nibble on before sipping your drink, numbing your tongue with a mala tingling sensation. The drink itself is vodka based with passionfruit. I loved the tropical taste and playful presentation. This drink is one of four “main character” cocktails that one would order if one desired the attention of the entire room. And it was my birthday, so of course I did. For our appetizers, we got the caviar frites and crispy rice tuna tartare. The caviar frites were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I loved the accompaniments such as the vodka creme fraiche and dollops of caviar. The crispy rice tuna tartare was plated beautifully. The tuna was fresh and spicy, and I loved the crispy rice on the bottom. At this point in our meal, Ailyn advised us to take pictures with the gorgeous sunset on the patio while we waited for our entrees. A small handful of people were doing the same. The sunset was especially breathtaking from our vantage point. I could see every layer of the rainbow embedded in the blazing California sky. I had the filet mignon and added an Atlantic lobster tail. The filet was so tender and juicy. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly. I really liked the side of 50/50 mashed potatoes as well. The mash was extremely creamy and the crispy bits of potato “hay” on top were delicious. I had a lovely experience at Orange Hill. I would definitely come back.”
“Went to celebrate my wedding anniversary and the atmosphere, view, and music was incredible. Got a complementary corn bread and a brownie. I also got the Berry Me Softly drink (alcoholic) and it was very smooth. The food was delicious. You need a reservation!!!!”
“I recently visited Orange Hill Restaurant, and it remains one of the best dining destinations in the area. Whether you’re there for the sunset or the twinkling city lights, the atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, making it perfect for a nice night out. While they are known for their high-end steaks, I decided to try the Steak Burger this time, and it was fantastic. You can tell they use premium cuts for the patty; it was incredibly juicy, seasoned perfectly, and had that rich, beefy flavor you only get from a quality steakhouse. It’s definitely a step above your average gourmet burger and felt like a steal given the quality and the view. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe of the renovated space is modern and sharp. If you’re looking for a great meal that isn't a full 14oz ribeye but still satisfies that steak craving, I highly recommend the burger! Pro Tip: If you can, try to snag a table near the window or out on the patio right before "Golden Hour." The transition from sunset to the city lights of OC and DTLA is spectacular.”
“Me and my boyfriend had our anniversary here. We sat in the bar area and had a great view, comfortable seating, and no wait. Cassidy made our experience memorable. She was knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant. She made us feel special. It's rare to get that kind of experience these days. The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. The ambiance was welcoming and upscale. I couldn't have asked for a better night. From top to bottom I highly recommend this place.”
“We visited Orange Hill Restaurant for Sunday brunch and the entire experience was amazing! The view from the hill overlooking the city is extremely rare and simply breathtaking. We sat outside where we were surrounded by heaters and umbrellas however, they weren’t really needed after the first 30 minutes. The service was good and we were checked on frequently. We started with the lobster deviled eggs and the very fresh shrimp cocktail, they both were very tasty! We also shared the brunch platter for 2 which included waffles, bacon, sausage, crab legs, potatoes, eggs Benedict and a large portion of prime rib. This option was more than we could eat but we were able to get a tasting of several brunch options and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!”
