“Perla’s is a must-visit every time I’m in Austin! It’s become one of my favorite restaurants, and it’s consistently outstanding. The Poco Platter is incredible. It’s an amazing mix of fresh oysters, snow crab, lobster, clams, and so much more. Everything is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and perfect for sharing. See photo here! “We had an amazing experience at Perla's on South Congress. The location is perfect—right in the heart of SoCo, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a great meal while taking in the energy of the area. The food was outstanding from start to finish. I had the lobster roll and shrimp cocktail, and both were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The coleslaw was a surprise standout—easily one of the best we’ve had. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and high quality. They also have a great wine and drink selection that pairs perfectly with the menu, adding to the overall experience. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the location, Perla’s really delivers. Definitely a go-to spot in Austin that we’ll be coming back to.”

“I'm in love with this plzce place. My cousin took me here for my birthday. We had a beautiful brunch. The entire staff is AMAZING, AWESOME and provide EXCELLENT SETVICE!! Oysters, on point!!! Gabby our server was a perfect delight. In speaking throughout brunch, I found out we are bith from the same state. It was like catching up with an old friend. Mahi Mahi sandwich was perfect and my cousin had the brunch bugar which he loved. This is my now go to place for sure when visiting Austin. My French 75 was lovely. “Tonight we went for our anniversary expecting elevated prices and food heaven. We got it right on the price points. What we got for food didn't really match the high expectations we had. Except for the great variety of the available oysters that's very similar to what moderately good seafood restaurants routinely offer on the seaside. Except that portions we got were quite modest. For example, I was expecting that my redfish on half shell will come with extra crackling skin that I'd enjoy to eat. No, it was no more crackling than if it was cooked in the oven. The chocolate cake was obviously meant to be for one person and not shared by five and above all, it was nothing special I'd wish to have again. Let me be clear, the food wasn't bad at all. It was just a couple levels below expectations at these price points. As we were leaving I really wanted to go to the nearby ice cream shop to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings - which normally never happens after a good complete meal with dessert at a comparable establishment. The bill came about $75 per person which I don't mind paying, but since the experience was just meh we won't be back.”
