“Exceptional meal all around! The shrimp cocktail was fresh but the shrimp were not giant size. The filet with coffee topping and scallops was amazing. Corn brulee was out of this world good. Au gratin potatoes delivered. The orange vanilla cheesecake was killer! Excellent, attentive service.”

“Been here a few time for dinner and it is always a great experience. The reason for this review is to highlight the delicious pork chop lunch special. Just a wonderful pork chop, quite frankly one of the best I’ve had. It’s $22 and comes with a side of perfect mashed potatoes. Highly recommend to anyone who works in downtown Austin. Reservations available at open table. Also bar seating available as well on a first come first serve basis.”

“Went to a seminar at Perry's. It was so much more than I could ever have expected. Lunch started with soup or salad. I had the turtle soup. It had minced meat which I am guessing was the turtle. It wasn't great a little spicy with a different texture because of the minced protein that seemed like ground beef. The wedge salad was over the top great. The dressing was some of the best blue cheese that I have ever tasted. I had the famous Perry's pork chop for the 1st time. It was incredible! So tender and so much meat that I could not finish half of it. Even with a little help. My friend had the salmon moist and perfectly prepared. The accompaniments were wonderful with grilled to eggies and mashed potatoes. The corn brulee was a little too sweet for me but my friend loved it. Definitely have to have that pork chop another time”

“I will be the first to admit that while I love steak I don’t frequent steakhouses. Something about the level of elegance, price, and the almost “stuffiness” ambiance has always made them feel somewhat uncomfortable to me. Perry’s elegant and can be a little on the pricier side, but it doesn’t feel stuffy. The staff were incredibly accommodating, professional, and friendly The interior is beautifully decorated and is sectioned off (not open layout), which I like. There’s various size tables, and all covered with white table cloths The menu has a variety of delicious entrees, app, desserts, and other delicacies. Again, this is a steakhouse, so, if you’re a fan of steak you should definitely give them a shot. There’s also a fully stocked bar. There is delicious complimentary bread and butter Now, we came on a Friday for lunch, and one thing you need to know about lunch at Perry’s is that everyone is pretty much getting the same thing. The lunch pork chop. This isn’t because the lunch menu only has one item, it has many, but the pork chop is half of the normal dinner size, and it’s difficult to finish even the big portion it’s so big Some tips: This is a great spot to celebrate any occasion, or for a date night, or for any occasion really Get the lunch pork chop! Upgrade your mash potatoes to loaded. And if you’re feeling it get some of their delicious tableside desserts Cheers!!”

“Perry’s Steakhouse in downtown Austin has a great atmosphere, and I was really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations. The service seemed a bit off, and several dishes were noticeably over-salted, which took away from the enjoyment of the meal. I don’t typically leave reviews like this because I know how hard restaurants work, and I believe this may have just been an off night. Perry’s has a strong reputation, and I would be open to giving them another try in the future—just not immediately”
