Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events. Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.
“Service was wonderful. She was very friendly and accommodating of my unique allergies. We enjoyed sitting inside and were comfortable, despite the tables being pretty close together (we liked being about to see everyone's food!). The food was as outstanding and we expected. Good French onion soup. The beet salad was a unique take on it, I enjoyed the addition of the horseradish. The main courses were the stars for us though. My husband loved his steak frites and the pasta was phenomenal. Overall I'd highly recommend and we will be back to try other things on the menu”
“We had our first visit here with my family. The food and drinks were delicious, fresh, and high quality. Kyle (who usually mans the bar) made sure we had an amazing and attentive experience. For the quality and quantity of the food, the pricing was more than fair. Wines were very reasonably priced, and the cocktails had a nice personal twist. Will definitely come again!”
“Petit Trois Le Valley delivered a beautiful brunch experience from start to finish. The dishes looked as good as they tasted. Fresh chicken chopped salad , a rich and creamy hashbrown chilaquiles eith egg dish layered with sauce and avocado, perfectly balanced yogurt with berries and granola, and a smooth latte with beautiful latte art paired with a fresh pastry. Elegant presentation, cozy French atmosphere, and every plate felt thoughtfully prepared. Great spot for brunch, coffee, and a relaxed upscale dining experience.”
“Overall very good experience. We reserved a table to celebrate an early Mother's Day dinner. Reservation was for 8 pm arrived ( halfvof our party) early, we were warmly greeted by two staff members and seated right away. Our sever Cecil was fantastic as well as Alex , they made a great team. Drink orders were taken and arrived very quickly. Atmosphere is very nice, the restaurant was busy with other guests also celebrating early Mother's Day , assuming by the flowers on tables of other guests. Our party ordered all but one the Cordon bleu we all enjoyed the meal, outside nice and crisp and juicy inside, personally would have liked a little more cheese and ham filling, none the less we all enjoyed. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the gravey as well. Our fouth guest ordered the duck confit and really enjoyed his dish. For dessert we all shared the banna creme pie, not necessarily my first choice, however it was light and refreshing especially after the delicious heavy sauces /gravy. Overall our experience was great, a great way to celebrate early Mother's Day dinner. Again thank you Cecil and Alex you were both attentive, very warm , and kind. Will certainly be returning!”
“From the moment we walked in, this French gem in Sherman Oaks delivered an experience that felt both refined and genuinely warm. The ambiance struck that perfect balance—elegant without being pretentious, inviting without losing its sophistication. Our server, Rachel, had a vast knowledge of the menu and talked us throu the beautiful choices we made. We started with the escargot, which was nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly tender, bathed in a rich, garlicky butter that begged to be soaked up with every last piece of bread—it set the tone for what was to come. For the main course, we ordered the 8 oz. filet mignon with cognac and black pepper sauce, and it was absolutely outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection—beautifully seared on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. The sauce elevated it even further, with a deep, velvety richness and just the right peppery kick to complement the cognac’s subtle sweetness. Every detail, from presentation to service, reflected a high level of care and craftsmanship. This is the kind of place that reminds you why classic French cuisine is so revered. How ever I, personally would like the magnificent place had a better aqustic. Truly a 5-star experience—I’ll be thinking about that meal for a long time.”
